Jacque Fresco: Future By Design

Future by Design trailer (Future by Design website)
"All the marvels and wonders of technology can amount to nothing unless it elevates humans to their highest potential, this is the aim of the future by design." Jacque Fresco

Jacque Fresco is a Genius Renaissance man, he has a wonderful vision of the future technologically, socially, language-wise and consciously that you can see in this amazing documentary (find and see it!) about his thoughts for redesigning a culture he calls The Venus Project. Circular self-erecting automated cities [wonderful stargate symbolism (enlightenment, consciousness shift, 2012, etc)], aircraft, watercraft, underground monorails connecting the cities, water cities (no more aquariums or zoos!) for efficient ocean mining and wonderful living, free and efficient energy systems.
The scientific method applied to society (also see E-prime language English without is), so belief and value systems no longer collide, no more indoctrination, no more poverty as there is no basis for it. Every city has a university that studies everything. No more repetitive, filthy, boring, unstimulating jobs, those are for machines, so we can be free and pursue higher possibilities of man. Information is free, the new currency are input and resources. There are recreation centers and exhibition halls. Easy and quickly built automated homes, in the appartement buildings there are areas for discussion and recreation that will make them more appealing because if you live seperated you will have to come to one of these. The cities are totally self powered, energy will be mostly geo-thermal in the future he says and there is enough energy for thousands of years, and wind and solar energy are all extra.
"There's no shortage of anything except brains in Washington." Jacque Fresco
"You can't make money from the sun." bystander
"No you can't, exactly that." Jacque Fresco

"I have no notions of a perfect society, I don't know what that means. I know we can do much better than what we've got, I'm no utopian, I'm not a humanist that would like to see everybody living in warmth and harmony: I know that if we don't live that way, we'll kill each other and destroy the Earth." Jacque Fresco

We could build an even better society than the utopian Star Trek TNG Starfleet, exploring the earth, and space without and within. Evolve in everyway possible in peace and harmony. We all have a vision of the future, let's try to improve our vision everyday by learning from others and moving towards that vision.

"The majority of the people of the world today are unsane, not insane, unsane meaning having been exposed to methods of evaluation that have long rendered obsolete, our language in the future will change to a saner language where we have no argument in it, 'can there be such a language?' there is, when engineers talk to each other, it's not subject to interpretation, they use math, they use descriptive systems, if I interpreted what another engineer said in the way I think he meant it: you couldn't build bridges, dams, power transmission lines. The language has to have meaning." Jacque Fresco
(also see E-prime language English without is)

"The problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them." Albert Einstein
