Sun/Son of God day

Sunday is named after Sunna (Sól), Germanic goddess of the sun, from which the word sun also is derived. The practice of naming the seven days after the ten known "planets" goes back to Babylonian or Egyptian times and was adopted by Greeks and Romans.

The Gregorian calendar repeats every 400 years, and no century starts on a Sunday. The Jewish New Year never falls on a Sunday. Any month beginning on a Sunday will contain a Friday the 13th. (Isn't that interesting?)

In Ptolemaic Egyptian astrology, the seven known celestial bodies then considered planets—Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, Mercury, and the Moon—had an hour of the day assigned to each in that order, but the planet which was "regent" during the first hour of any day of the week gave its name to that day. The Egyptian form of the seven-day week spread to Rome during the first and second century when the Roman names of the planets were given to each successive day.

Solar Symbolism! Well I'm anything but an authority (and so is that wiki link lol) and am still learning, so I'll refer you to some better material. The Pharmacratic Inquisition docu does a good job of that showing how messiah figures in religion are actually solar symbols. The Sun/Son of God.

The Secret Sun is obviously your go-to point for loads of articles with the Sun Worship label. Here Comes the Sun, a 4 part series is highly recommended as is any of Christopher's fascinating synchromystic work. 1, 2, 3, 4.

Here is an excerpt from the great article Spiritual and Astrotheological Motifs Related To Light on Kentroversy. The author quotes from a book called 'The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold': The solar mythos, in fact, explains why the narratives of the sons of God previously examined are so similar, with a godman who is crucified and resurrected, who does miracles and has 12 disciples, etc. To wit, these stories were in actuality based on the movements of the sun through the heavens. In other words, Jesus Christ and the others upon whom he is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the gospel fable is merely a repeat of a mythological formula revolving around the movements of the sun through the heavens.

Here's another interesting article comparing many savior figures and 'their' religions:
The Sun is known as the true saviour. The Sun of God gives up it's energy and life force to provide the Earth and it's inhabitants with warmth and food and many other things. It dies at the Winter Solstice and is reborn three days later on December 25th. This is when it begins it's annual journey back to the Northern Hemisphere. The Ancient calender also started at a different time. It began in Virgo and ended in Leo, that is why the Sphynx has the head of a Virgin and the Body of a Lion.
When the Sun of God was re-born, it was in the Constellation of Virgo, so it was said "Born of a Virgin". The Sun is the "Eye of God" or "Eye of Horus". Ra was the Sun God in Egypt. His full name was Amen Ra. That is why we say "A-men" after our prayers. The Egyptians knew this and all of the Egyptian beliefs and customs are built into our society secretly by the Freemasons
The Origin of the Trinity, the Father, the Sun, and the Holy Spirit. Horus comes up at the "Hor-izon". He is born, this is the beginning, 12:00 he is the "Most High", and then the Sun "Sets", hence "Set" or "Satan", the prince of darkness does battle with the light of the world and wins, until the Sun is re-born the next day. This is a representation of the evolution of life. The birth, or the beginning, mid-life starting in your teen years, and old age, leading to death, the end of life. (I actually lost contact with a couple shortly after their son Seth was born :p)

Let's have some fun with synchromysticism. A lot of solar lyrics can be interpreted more 'sinisterly'. Don't take this too seriously ;-). I could probably do a song or 30 but let's take a popular recent one and get silly with Rihanna's tedious Umbrella. Everything posted of the lyrics can be interpreted in a negative kinda way, the bold parts show even more emphasis.

"Coming down with the Dow Jones.
When the clouds come we gone, we Rocafella...
An anticipation, for precipitation. Stacked chips for the rainy day
Jay, Rain Man is back with little Ms. Sunshine"
Jay 'Rockefeller-minion? :p' Z intro to Rihanna's Umbrella

Rihanna: You're part of my entity, here for Infinity
When the war has took it's part
When the world has dealt it's cards
If the hand is hard, together we'll mend your heart because

When the sun shines, we’ll shine together
Told you I'll be here forever
Said I'll always be a friend
Took an oath I'ma stick it out till the end

You can stand under my umbrella
(The Umbrella Corporation, OCP, the Illuminati, whatever you wanna call 'em :p )

The video starts out with solar symbolism as well, the light behind Rihanna. A google search also tells me her first album was called Music of the Sun. Her last album is called Good Girl Gone Bad, which can be interpreted many ways.
Synchromysticism can be taken as far as you want to, for instance an italian pop punk band called Vanilla Sky covered Umbrella. Their lead singer is called Vincenzo Mario Cristi, Christ - the solar symbol, I shit you not. Vanilla Sky is also the shitty remake of Abre los Ojos, Open Your Eyes - to see through the solar symbolism. The overall plot device and themes of unreality in Abre los ojos are very similar to those employed in the novel Ubik by Philip K. Dick. The movie title Vanilla Sky is a reference to depictions of skies in some of the paintings of Claude Monet. Claude Monet was a founder of french Impressionist painting, Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise. Oh and btw the scene with Tom Cruise alone in Times Square is not a digital visual effect. The production was given unprecedented permission to shut down Times Square for three hours on a Sunday.
Tiphereth, beauty and heart in the Kabbalah. The Sun in Tarot. The Sun in Astrology. I am still learning about solar symbolism and all this jazz myself so if you have anything to add I'd very much appreciate it!
