Quarter of Brits think Churchill was myth: poll
Britons are losing (read: Westerners have lost) their grip on reality, according to a poll out Monday which showed that nearly a quarter think Winston Churchill was a myth while the majority reckon Sherlock Holmes was real.
Meanwhile, 58 percent thought Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional detective Holmes actually existed.
UKTV Gold television surveyed 3,000 people.
Funny enough UKTV is partly responsible for this bullshit as is any Media outlet!
Network - Television is a goddamned amusement park

If it did not happen, but is in the media... we believe it has happened."

"If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace."
Actually the title is:
It's a truly terrifying paradox.
In the name of freedom, Britain is becoming a police state.
Wow, fearmonger express is on the way!
Nevermind all the evidence that it was an inside job, just like 9/11: There were anti-terrorism drills just like on 9/11, Steel from subway pointed upwards can a backpack to that? Supposedly all cameras were malfunctioning, the brazilian man that got executed with the cowardly cover story from the authorities, etc etc...
we have reluctantly accepted further encroachments on our liberties as a necessary evil. Really? I think 'we' did nothing and the politicians did as they pleased.
What annoys me about the article is that people who are waking up are still half asleep and carrying obsolete memes that just fuck with their heads. In-FORM your Self.
The rest of the article is less annoying. As Terence McKenna said:
Freemasons "have to die at the hands of the revolution which has been brought about with their cooperation," according to C.G. Rakovsky, a founder of the Communist International.
"The real secret of masonry is the suicide of Freemasonry as an organization, and the physical suicide of every important mason."
This disclosure is from a 1938 Stalinist police interrogation entitled "The Red Symphony."

"Today Americans would be outraged if U. N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all people of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."

The Impact of Science on Society: Part 1, 2, 3, 4
here are some FUCKED UP Bertrand Russel quotes, man this fucker is evil:
"I do not believe that dictatorship is a lasting form of scientific society - unless (but this proviso is important) it can become world-wide."
"There are three ways of securing a society that shall be stable as regards population. The first is that of birth control, the second that of infanticide or really destructive wars, and third that of general misery except for a powerful minority."
"There is, it must be confessed, a psychological difficulty about a single world government. The chief source of social cohesion in the past, I repeat, has been war: the passions that inspire a feeling of unity are hate and fear. These depend upon the existence of an enemy, actual or potential. It seems to that a world government could only be kept in being by force, not by the spontaneous loyalty that now inspires a nation at war."
"No revolution can succeed in a modern country unless it has the support of at least a considerable section of the armed forces. But the armed forces can be kept loyal by being given a higher standard of life than that of the average worker, and this is made easier by every step in the degradation of ordinary labour."
"The completeness of the resulting control over opinion depends in various ways upon scientific technique. Where all children go to school, and all schools are controlled by the government, the authorities can close the minds of the young to everything contrary to official orthodoxy. Printing is impossible without paper, and all paper belongs to the State. Broadcasting and the cinema are equally public monopolies. The only remaining possibility of unauthorised propaganda is by secret whispers from one individual to another. But this, in turn, is rendered appallingly dangerous by improvements in the art of spying. Children at school are taught that it is their duty to denounce their parents if they allow themselves subversive utterances in the bosom of the family. No one can be sure that a man who seems to be his dearest friend will not denounce him to the police; the man may himself have been in some trouble, and may know that if he is not efficient as a spy his wife and children will suffer. All this is not imaginary, it is daily and hourly reality. Nor, given oligarchy, is there the slightest reason to expect anything else."
It is to be expected that advances in physiology and psychology will give governments much more control over individual mentality than they now have even in totalitarian countries. Fichte laid it down that education should aim at destroying free will, so that, after pupils have left school, they shall be incapable, throughout the rest of their lives, of thinking or acting otherwise than as their schoolmasters would have wished. But in his day this was an unattainable ideal: what he regarded as the best system in existence produced Karl Marx. In future such failures are not likely to occur where there is dictatorship. Diet, injections, and injunctions will combine, from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible. Even if all are miserable, all will believe themselves happy, because the government will tell them that they are so."
But it's an issue that raises major privacy concerns -- what one civil liberties expert says should concern all Americans.
The bureau is expected to announce in coming days the awarding of a $1 billion, 10-year contract to help create the database that will compile an array of biometric information -- from palm prints to eye scans.
Critics say people are being forced to give up too much personal information. But Lawrence Hornak, the co-director of the research center at West Virginia University, said it could actually enhance people's privacy. "It allows you to project your identity as being you," said Hornak. "And it allows people to avoid identity theft, things of that nature."
Huge fucking balls is all I can say, I mean the size of this guys balls must be enormous.
Dr. R.P. Agrawal, of the SP Medical College, Bikaner, India, and colleagues evaluated the beneficial effects of yoga and meditation in 101 adults with features of metabolic syndrome. In the study, 55 adults received three months of regular yoga including standard postures and Raja Yoga, a form of transcendental meditation daily, while the remaining received standard care.
Waist circumference, blood pressure, blood sugar, and triglycerides were significantly lower, and “good” HDL cholesterol levels were higher in the yoga group as compared to controls, Agrawal’s team reports in the journal Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice.
At the end of the study period, feelings of anxiety, stress and depression were significantly lower and levels of optimism significantly higher in the yoga group compared to the control group, Kjellgren and colleagues report.
Yoga not only helps in prevention of lifestyle diseases, but can also be “a powerful adjunct therapy when these diseases arise,” co-investigator Dr. Faahri Saatiglou, from the University of Oslo, told Reuters Health. “We do not emphasize this point enough in our Western health care.”

"He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself."
"The true danger is when liberty is nibbled away, for expedients, and by parts."
"It is futile to speak of liberty as long as economic slavery exists."
"I would rather be exposed to the inconvencies attending too much liberty than those attending a too small degree of it."
"The liberty of the individual is no gift of civilization. It was greatest before there was any civilization."
AN OWNER'S MANUAL by Dr. Timothy Leary
The human brain contains one hundred billion neurons, each neuron is as powerful as a large computer, and each neuron has around ten thousand connections with other neurons. Within our foreheads there is a chaos, inside our brains there is a galaxy of information, which is incomprehensible to our linear minds.
This contrasts and compares perfectly with the chaos without. We’re living in a universe, which has one hundred billion galaxies, each galaxy with star systems, planets, a complexity, again, which to our minds right now is chaotic, incomprehensible.
Chaos is beautiful. Now many times we are afraid because we want order. We can’t deal with the confusion and disorder. We want form. We want rules. Yes, throughout human history there have been people—religious leaders, political leaders—who will give you order. They will give you rules and commandments.
But chaos is basically good. Relax. Surf the waves of chaos and learn how to redesign your own realities. Sit back. Flow. Open your eyes. Turn off your minds. Unfocus, and let the waves of chaos roll over your brain. Float. Drift, Zoom. Design. Create new order, your order, your style from chaos.
Yes. Yes. Chaos. Yes, yes, chaos . . .
The aim of human life is to know thyself. Think for yourself. Question authority. Think with your friends. Create, create new realities. Philosophy is a team sport. Philosophy is the ultimate, the ultimate aphrodisiac pleasure. Learning how to operate your brain, learning how to operate your mind, learning how to redesign chaos.
The religious leaders, the political leaders want to give you orders to run your life, to determine how you think. The basic goal is to operate your own mind. Think for yourself.
Around three thousand years ago, a group of human beings in Athens, Greece, developed a new philosophy, a basic religion of humanity that is called humanism. Socrates said that the aim of human life is to know thyself. Create and design your own order from chaos. Socrates did not give commandments. Socrates did not impose order. Socrates asked questions. He encouraged his friends to speculate, design, to create, to interact their own versions of reality. Socrates said the way to perform philosophy is in small groups, raising questions, learning from each other, changing, changing your mind, growing together, thinking together.
The religious leaders said "You can’t say that, Socrates. The gods are in control. Who are you to say you have a self? How dare you think you can know? The Gods determine. Sacrifice to the gods; obey the gods." Socrates said, "No. Look within." For that, they gave Socrates the hemlock, because he dared to tell people, "Think for yourself. Question authority.”
To think for yourself, you must learn how to reprogram, reform, inform your own brain. To do this, to take responsibility for your brain, it is necessary to question everything that you have been taught, to question authority, to learn to take the brave step of taking responsibility for operating your brain. For designing, redesigning, reforming the chaos within.
Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities—the political, the religious, the educational authorities—who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing—forming in our minds—THEIR view of reality. To think for yourself, you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable open-mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself.
Think for yourself. Question authority.
Then came Marshall McCluhan, in the 1950's. McCluhan said, in the Socratic sense, "The medium is the message." The words you use, the modes of communication you use determine the realities you inhabit. Most of our lives, most of us live in realities determined by others, imprinted in our brains by education, by religion, by politics, by the authorities. McCluhan said, "If you want to change your mind, change the medium." Change the words you use. Change the mode of communication. If you change the medium, you change yourself. You change your society.
In the 1960’s, a new mode of communication developed: television. The kids growing up in the 1950’s learned how to tune in, turn on, fine tune, turn off, select, determine what hits your eyeballs. You control your eyeballs and your eardrums. You direct, manage the media that program your brain. McCluhan said, "Who controls the media is programming your mind and programming your brain."
We are using in this tape the new media of digital, multimedia, audiographic overload, attempting to create the state of open-mindedness, pleasant vulnerability in which we will in-form and imprint the messages of The Sponsor: "Use your head. Learn how to operate your brain."
To operate your brain you must understand how to use your eyes. "Oh say, can you see?" Oh say, can’t you see what is being done to your eyes? Who controls your eyeballs, controls your mind, imprints your brain. Oh say, can’t you see that the messages that hit your eyeballs in modern television are creating realities, imprinting messages from the sponsors who are not usually interested in your learning how to design your own realities.
Warning! Warning! Warning! Warning! Who controls your screen controls the programs in your mind. Your eyes are the windows of your brain. The eyes are extensions of the brain. The eyes are made up of hundreds of layers of neurons, rods, cones. Your eyeballs deal with one energy: It’s light. Through your eyes come illumination, vision, perception, enlightenment, illumination. Your eyes are the windows of your soul. Who controls your eyeballs programs your brain. Learn how to dial, fine tune your eyeballs. Learn how to unfocus your eyes, dilate your pupils, learn how to open up to illumination and light, and then refocus and redesign your own inner order, your own designs, your own language.
In the 60’s, we said. "Power to the people." In the 90’s, the digital multimedia 90’s, we say, "Power to the pupil."
Illuminate. Enlighten. Envision. Light waves. Sound waves. Light waves. Open eyes. Open mind. Open your brain. Learn how to send messages using electrons. Your brain loves light. Who controls your eyeballs programs your mind.
We are also passing on, in this demonstration, the message of Ralph Waldo Emerson, the first and probably the greatest American philosopher who said, "Divinity lies within." Don’t look to the churches or to the big marble institutions. Your divinity lies within. You must learn to operate your brain, operate your soul. Learn how to communicate brain to brain, soul to soul with other people. Your divinity lies within.
The brain is designed to design realities. If you operate your own brain skillfully, you can learn to design your own realities, learn how to communicate in the language of the brain: electrons and photons. We are doing this now. We are sending messages from our brains, using the vehicle of electrons and photons, to your eyeballs. As we watch this screen, our minds are bedazzled, our minds are softened, our linear, sharp logical thinking is gentled, and we are communicating brain to brain. We are using the electron, computer circuits, to feed each other’s brains with light.
This is the first paragraph, the first attempt, the first child’s primer in how to communicate using both the orderly left brain and the chaotic, confusing language of photons and electrons. The brain is a photovore. Your brain, my brain, our brains live on light. Just as the body needs air and carbohydrates, our brains are starved for light, for illumination, for revelation.
Use your head. Learn how to operate your brain. The brain is designed to design realities.
Marshall McCluhan made the prophecy. He told us that the aim of evolution was to use media to create what we all want: the global village, the language, which can be understood by every human being, by every brain. The basic language of humanity, the language of the brain, lights, sounds, rhythms, pulsating your bones, moving your body. We all know this language. We can all sing and dance this language of electrons, of radio waves, of rhythms.
Now we have digital communication. We can create our fantasies. We can create our rhythms, design on screen. A new language will develop, a global language, not based on letters, not based on grammars, the language which we all understand, based on clusters of waves of light and sound. We all understand. We all celebrate. We all glory in the light, the illumination, the contact, the intersection, the interaction from around the world, the language of form. We will create a language of international, global brain linkup. Anyone in any culture watching this screen will get the general picture. It’s one global village. It’s one global human spirit, one global human race. As we link up through screens, linked by electrons and photons, we will create for the first time a global humanity, not separated by words or minds or nationalities or religious biases.
We Have Just learned to communicate brain to brain, soul to soul.
Facebook, the Internet social-networking site, has mobilized hundreds of thousands of Colombians to protest the country's most powerful rebel goup, the Christian Science Monitor reported Sunday.
According to the report, a grassroots movement against the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) emerged on Facebook as young people vented their anger against the rebel group. That grew into "One Million Voices Against FARC," a series of planned marches throughout Columbia and major cities around the world, expected to take place on Monday.
The event is another example of how the Internet is being used to rally large numbers of people to a cause.
FARC guerillas, who have been fighting the Columbia government for 40 years, use kidnapping as a political weapon, according to the report.
A public outcry against the Marxist insurgent army has been growing, particularly since two women who were held hostage by the group for six years were released recently and recounted the hardships they and other hostages endured, CSM reported.
U.S. troops are being trained to conduct round-ups, confiscate guns and shoot American citizens, including their own friends and family members, as part of a long-standing program to prepare for the declaration of martial law, according to a soldier who recently returned from Iraq.
Neat little article on perceptions
I'll post some more eye and consciousness-related exercises later on.
1. Next time you are walking or driving somewhere, or sitting on the bus or a car. Remember to do this.
2. Pick a color and focus on it. Look for that color in your field of vision as you’re moving about. For example, focus on the color red.
3. Do this for several minutes. Do you notice this color in so many places?
4. Pick another color and focus on it. Forget about the first color, just focus on the second. For example, try the color green.
5. Continue for several minutes. Scan your surroundings. Do you suddenly notice your second color popping up everywhere?
6. Repeat several times using different colors each time.
Pretty cool huh? As simple or as silly this may sound, it’s a powerful exercise that I like to play around with. Each time we shift our focus on a new color, it feels like a shift in vision, or putting on special glasses that only filters this color.
- The Doors Of Perception: Why Americans Will Believe Almost Anything By Tim O'Shea
- (ps: this applies to about anywhere in the western world, not just Americans)
We are the most conditioned, programmed beings the world has ever known. Not only are our thoughts and attitudes continually being shaped and molded; our very awareness of the whole design seems like it is being subtly and inexorably erased. The doors of our perception are carefully and precisely regulated. Who cares, right?

The Pentagon's Information Operations Roadmap is blunt about the fact that an internet, with the potential for free speech, is in direct opposition to their goals. The internet needs to be dealt with as if it were an enemy "weapons system".
The 2003 Pentagon document entitled the Information Operation Roadmap was released to the public after a Freedom of Information Request by the National Security Archive at George Washington University in 2006.
In an article by Paul Joseph Watson of Prisonplanet.com, he describes the emergence of Internet 2.: Now Europe Targets Bloggers As Terrorists
"The development of "Internet 2" is also designed to create an online caste system whereby the old Internet hubs would be allowed to break down and die, forcing people to use the new taxable, censored and regulated world wide web. If you're struggling to comprehend exactly what the Internet will look like in five years unless we resist this, just look at China and their latest efforts to completely eliminate dissent and anonymity on the web."

"To change your mood or mental state, change your vibration."
Everything is mental.
Everything is energy.
YOU are the master of your own mood and mental state. Another person may do something that angers you, but they do NOT force you to lose your temper: YOU lose control of your temper because of YOUR reaction to something they said or did. The baser negative emotions (hate, envy, jealousy) are all states of low-vibrating energy. To change your mood, raise your mental vibrational level.
"To destroy an undesirable rate of mental vibration, put into operation the Principle of Polarity and concentrate upon the opposite pole to that which you desire to suppress. Kill out the undesirable by changing its polarity."—The Kybalion
Polarity is in everything; everything has its opposite. Love and hate are the same thing vibrating at different ends of the spectrum. Happiness and sorrow are the same, but vibrating at different rates.
To counter something, use its opposite.
From chemistry, we know that if we mix bases and acids in equal strengths, they will cancel each other out to form a neutral substance. To see this in everyday life, try being very positive and cheerful around someone who is in a bad mood. The bad mood cannot survive for long when confronted by a positive mood. It is also possible use a bad mood to cancel a positive mood. Watch the people around you. Someone will come into the office in a bad mood and snap at someone; later on, that person will be short with another, etc. The chain goes on and on. Polarity and vibration are key elements to mental transmutation.
"Rhythm may be neutralized by the application of the Art of Polarization." The Kybalion
Everything is in constant motion, and there is a rhythm to the motion. The swing of the pendulum to the left is equal to the swing of the pendulum to the right. To avoid being caught in an undesirable swing, we use polarity or vibration to move ourselves above or below the oncoming swing, thereby moving ourselves outside of the effect. The higher Hermetic Master will polarize or move him/herself to the very positive side of the "I AM" pole and vibrate to a rate at which the backwards swing of the pendulum will not affect him/her. This is done to some extent by all who understand this principle. They simply refuse to be swayed by the reverse swing.
"Nothing escapes the Principle of Cause and Effect, but there are many planes of Causation and one may use the laws of a higher to overcome the laws of a lower." The Kybalion
For every cause there is an effect, and for every effect there is a cause. For every event there must be some initial action, and there is some reaction for every event. For an idea to manifest on the physical plane, it must first exist as thought; then it must take form on the mental plane and eventually be made manifest back on the physical plane. There are many planes on which we operate. The principle of causation exists on all planes. Just as one plane may influence another, causation on one plane may influence other planes.
"True Hermetic Transmutation is a Mental Art." The Kybalion
Everything is mental; we are but a thought in the mind of the ALL. Influencing the physical and mental planes are brought about by control of your mental power and abilities in conformity of the laws of existence.
"The ALL is MIND. The Universe is Mental." The Kybalion

Wow, this cool site has lots of vids I haven't seen yet.
Magickal ethics follow the same principles as physical and mental ethics. Ethics can be broken into three broad categories:
Ethical Objectivism holds that there are moral and ethical absolutes that can be known.
Ethical Relativism holds that the ethics of a situation depend on the situation, the time, and the culture in which the event occurs.
There is a third system that combines the two beliefs, saying that there are some fundamental ethical truths, but that they must be applied in consideration to the situation in which the event occurs.
Magickal Ethics is based on standard ethics. Magick is an ability that everyone possesses; everyone has the potential to use it, but few rarely learn to use it. You must consider magick to be another skill, like martial arts or cooking, that can be developed by any individual.
Many ethical situations will resolve themselves to the question of, "Would I want someone to take this action without my permission?" and "What actions would I consider appropriate for someone to take on my behalf?"
We must be cautious of attempting to rationalize our actions by claiming that we would really want someone to do something for us if we were in a situation.
Let’s look at a few examples of magickal ethics and "regular" ethics.
Can I cast a spell to make John Smith want to sleep with me?
Can I cast a spell to make John Smith fall in love with me?
These questions are often rationalized by the following types of ideas:
But I just "know" that we are soul-mates.
But I just "know" that if he realized his true feelings he would want this.
But I just "know" that I could make him the happiest person in the world if he would let me.
And the list goes on!
Can I physically force John Smith to have sex with me?
Can I coerce John Smith to have sex with me?
Could I put something in John Smith’s drink so that I could have sex with him?
These situations are clear-cut examples of an action that will cause harm to another individual.
Can I ask someone to attack me magickally?
This could be a useful learning tool if the people know what they are doing.
Can I ask a friend to spar with me in some contact sport?
Notice that this situation involves mutual consent between two individuals. Mutual consent changes the ethical picture. While it is possible that bad things can happen as a result of the actions, both participants understand the risk before the actions are begun.
There appears to be a conflict with the basic Wiccan belief of, "An it harm none, do as you will." The actions could result in harm being doing to one or more people by the action; the important thing to remember here is that it is a risk that is mutually agreed upon. In this type of situation, I believe that the concept of mutual consent should be applied. I also believe that this idea should be applied in situations involving pain as part of the sexual act—if the action is mutually agreed upon by both parties, then the basic belief is not violated.
Many forms of magick work on influencing other people.
Can I put up a ward or shield around my property to deter thieves?
Can I put up signs that say, "Thieves keep out!"
Depending on the construction of the ward or shield, a certain idea can be projected to those crossing the boundary. This idea does influence another individual. This becomes a two-fold question: "Would you want someone to try to influence you?" and "Since the individual has made a conscious choice to interfere with my free will, then am I allowed to try to keep him from taking an action?"
Can I put up a ward or shield around my property to cause a thief’s heart to stop when he crosses intending to steal my property?
Can I shoot someone who is stealing my property?
Most people will agree that they should have the right to defend themselves and their property. However, the taking of a life in any situation will have Karmic repercussions that must be faced—even in the instance of self-preservation. Is a piece of property really worth the taking of a life? A similar issue is whether you could incorporate a "death action" into a ward to be triggered on the occurrence of an event such as someone’s breaking into your house to kill you. How far will you go, and where will you draw the lines?
Can I work a spell to raise the awareness of a person or group of people regarding a specific subject?
Can I force someone to accept an idea with which they do not agree, even if the idea is considered "wrong" by society?
Every individual must develop at his/her own rate. The spiritual development cannot be rushed or pushed forward. While the idea of raising someone’s awareness may be appealing, would you want someone to force awareness on you? Notice that the issue is really one of consent.
Can I work a spell to raise the awareness of a person or group of people regarding a specific subject, provided that they are willing?
Can I talk to someone on the street who agrees to the discussion, or to someone who asks me about a specific topic?
Notice that the situation has changed such that the other individual now has the choice to be made aware of a situation.
Many situations in magick involve consent and free will.
In most situations, magick should not be worked on or for a person without his/her express permission. Also remember that permission for one action does not imply permission for another. Permission usually must come from the individual. There are, however, exceptions. Before the age of consent, children usually may not give permission for magickal actions, since they may not understand the ramifications of what they desire. In the instance of working on or for children, permission from the parent or guardian is usually required. The same holds true for those who are mentally incompetent or those who cannot communicate for themselves.
In a perfect world, we would have the time to obtain permission before doing any work for others. However, this is not always the case. There are instances where time is of the essence, and there is not time to obtain formal permission.
Can I use my healing abilities to keep someone who has been struck by a car alive until emergency medical teams arrive?
Can I use my knowledge of how to stop bleeding to keep someone who has been struck by a car alive until emergency medical teams arrive?
In these cases, it may be impossible to obtain permission. Some would advocate doing nothing, since, if you take no action, then there would not be any repercussions. Are there repercussions for not taking action to prevent something when you could? That is a good question, and one that is not easily answered. There is no physical law that says that you must help someone in need. Is there a spiritual imperative saying that you must help people in need? That is another good question. If you follow the belief that before you can transcend fully, you must have compassion for all creatures in existence, then the answer is "yes."
Before we rush out and start trying to save people, there are other concerns to address.
What if the individual in question was supposed to die at that time?
What if death by that particular occurrence was supposed to occur to teach that soul a lesson?
Most people would like to believe that "untimely" death couldn’t happen for a specific reason.
This is incorrect. Before a soul incarnates, the major life tasks are decided upon and set in motion. This does not say that everything is predestined, but there are some events that can be prearranged. One of these is "untimely" death. Death itself is a critical experience in the soul’s development.
The question remains, then, do you take action to save the individual? In these situations, we do not have the luxury of consulting the Akashic records to see if this event was supposed to happen. If an event was predetermined, there is no way to change the event. If the person was meant to die in the accident, then they will die. Just as "untimely" death is a possibility, living through a near-death experience is also a possibility.
Before taking any action, especially magickal, you should consider the ramifications of those actions. Also, you must be prepared to accept responsibility for your actions, or your lack of actions. Many situations where the ethics of an action is questioned come about because one or more of the individuals involved does not want to take responsibility for their actions.
The following ideas can help resolve ethical problems:
Always take responsibility for your actions.
Always consider the consequences of your actions.
Always consider the options available to you (if there is time).
Always remember that every individual has free will.
Always remember that you should try not to harm others.
Always remember that every cause has an effect and that every effect has a cause.
There is no quick and easy solution to the problem of magickal or physical ethics. We do not possess a little computer where we can type in a situation and an action to get a reading on whether the action is ethical. The individual must decide the question of whether an action is ethical. The extent to which an individual will go to observe ethics varies with each individual.

Waking Life (by Richard Linklater)
Some quotes: Dream is destiny
The trick is to combine your waking rational abilities with the infinite possibilities of your dreams. Because, if you can do that, you can do anything.
The message here is that we should never write ourselves off and see ourselves as the victim of various forces, it's always our decision who we are.
Actually, there’s only One Instant, and it’s right now, and it’s eternity. And it’s an instant, in which God is posing a question, and that question is basically, “Do you wanna be one with eternity, do you want to be in heaven?” And we’re all saying, “Nooo, thank you, not just yet.” And so time is actually just this constant saying, “No” to God’s invitation.

Entheogen: Awakening the Divine Within
The film examines the re-emergence of archaic techniques of ecstacy in the modern world by weaving a synthesis of ecological and evolutionary awareness, electronic dance culture, and the current pharmacological re-evaluation of entheogenic compounds. Within a narrative framework that imagines consciousness itself to be evolving, Entheogen documents the emergence of techno-shamanism in the post-modern world that frames the following questions: How can a renewal of ancient initiatory rites of passage alleviate our ecological crisis? What do trance dancing and festivals celebrating unbridled artistic expression speak to in our collective psyche? How do we re-invent ourselves in a disenchanted world from which God has long ago withdrawn? Entheogen invites the viewer to consider that the answers to these questions lie within the consciousness of each and every human being, and are accessible if only we give ourselves permission to awaken to the divine within.
Translation: It's about consciousness :P

Fear is natural because one is moving in darkness. The inner journey is very dark. Light comes but that is only at the end. First one has to pass through the tunnel, hence trust is needed. The world of light, of course artificial light, is no more there and the world of real light has not yet happened. Just in between the two there is a tunnel of darkness. The mind says 'Go back! At least there was some light. Maybe the light was outside you, but still it was. Maybe it was artificial, but at least it was. Go back! Cling to theories and words and philosophies'.
It is just like when you dive deep into water and an urge arises to go back to the surface. This is a greater depth than that. No ocean is so deep as the inner reality. So one trembles, feels afraid, lost, uprooted. One feels unskillful because the new is so new and you have never practised it. But by and by if you go on with courage and you take the challenge of the unknown, that very challenge will create the capacity to encounter it.
Once you accept a challenge, you start becoming capable of encountering it. Nothing else is needed because the capacity is lying there within you fast asleep because you have never used it.
So whenever there is a challenge, never reject it... welcome it. Challenge is life and life-giving. So whenever there is a challenge, immediately take the opportunity and thank God that again the unknown is before you. Again you are afraid, good. Again the security is no more there, good. Again you move in the insecure. Again the adventure starts and you don't know where you are going you don't know where you will reach, or whether you will ever reach.
You don't even know who you are because a man knows himself only by something that he is capable of doing. Somebody says, 'I am a doctor'. He knows himself because he can do certain things. somebody says, 'I am an advocate', because he knows that he can do something. Somebody says, 'I am a carpenter'. We know ourselves by our doing.
When you move into the unknown, you cannot do anything. You don't know where you are going, what is going to happen. Every moment is going to be a surprise, something just out of the blue. Sooner or later you start feeling that you are losing your identity. So the greatest fear is of losing one's identity, the image, the ego, the nameplate. You cannot carry it into the unknown.
Fear is there but don't pay much attention to it. It is there because of the challenge. Pay attention to the challenge. When you look at the challenge you will not feel bad about the fear; you will say that this is natural.
When one has to climb an Everest fear is natural. I don't see anything abnormal in it. In fact if a man is going to climb Everest and he doesn't feel any fear, he is abnormal; something is perverted about him. Maybe he is insensitive, an idiot, stupid, unaware. When a man starts moving, climbing the Himalayas, it is natural that fear will be felt.
But if when you move on the street of your town you are afraid, then it is abnormal. If in the known you fear, it is abnormal. If you feel fear with the unknown, it is indicative, symptomatic, that there is something that you don't know, with which you are unfamiliar, a strange country you are entering, the language of which is not known to you, and you have no map. There is every possibility that you may be lost forever and may not be able to come back. Fear is natural.
But take the challenge, focus on the challenge; then fear is just the shadow of the challenge. Never pay much attention to shadows because if you do, shadows tend to become realities. Always pay attention to the reality. When you are focused on reality you can see what is a shadow and what is real. The unreal has no more influence on you.
If you are really interested in mysticism, become a mystic. You have taken the first step, hence the fear. Accept the challenge, mm?

The video speaks for itself.

I am so tired of hearing The weekend is over and tomorrow it's back to reality! and You've lost touch with reality! or Get Real! What exactly is reality and whose reality are we talking about? I have also often heard: Wait until you get out into the REAL WORLD! Where exactly are you when you aren't in the real world? Are you in a false place? A world of non-reality? Additionally there's the old, It won't be so easy when you get out there! Prepare yourself for a merciless, cold, cruel world. When you do get there, you will have to struggle and deal with a lot of negative people and situations. Is that a set up or what? We are told what is and what is not "real" and what to expect and how to fit in.
I saw a bumper sticker not too long ago that said "Question reality". I agree. I think reality should be questioned and challenged and maybe even done away with. Usually, when someone tells you that you must "get back to reality", they are talking about their own reality. People project their own belief systems on others all the time and, if you're not careful, you might start to think like them. I suppose most people believe that there is one reality and that they have no choice but to exist in it. Who decided what reality was to be when things first got started? If you haven't already, I strongly suggest that you begin to examine, right away, in whose reality you are living. Are you following your own reality, or that of society, your parents, some institution, or that of someone you knew 10 years ago? What is real for you? Can you do anything to change your reality, assuming you'd want to?
Just What Is Real?
Have you ever stopped to think that "reality" is, to so many people, what is usually synonymous with a job or a task that is unpleasant? Why is that? Who decided that reality should be a necessary evil or just plain not fun? Does this mean when you are having fun that you are doing something that's not real? I think that we are all much closer to real reality when we are having fun and feeling passionate and alive. Being quiet, centered, feeling joy, doing nothing all day...now THAT'S my idea of reality!
How much does "reality" dictate to you what you must do? Must you struggle and work hard at something you don't enjoy in order to pay the bills? Also, do you believe reality dictates that we all have to do things we don't like? Is this just the way it is, or is there something that can be done about it? Who decided these things?
And now for a little dose of reality! Many of you know by now that you are the creator of your own reality, even the bad stuff. The thing is, you can't start doing anything about your reality until you know this and accept it. Taking responsibility for your life is the first step in getting yourself out from under the clutches of the old belief system.
The next step is to look at yourself. It is the way you see yourself that determines how you view the world around you. In other words, your outer reality is a reflection of your inner reality, your inner thoughts and beliefs. Therefore, your "real world" will be negative only if you perceive aspects of yourself as negative. Change how you perceive yourself and you change your reality.
If you believe you are a limited being, undeserving, and a victim with very little choice in life, then that is exactly what your reality will be. If you choose to believe that you are susceptible to colds, the flu, and all sorts of other common maladies every time there's a change in the weather, then that, too, will be your reality. If, however, you believe you are a limitless, multidimensional person and that abundance, prosperity, and radiant good health are yours for the taking, then that is the reality you will manifest.
You empower yourself when you realize that you can create your own reality. The fact is, your life does not have to be cold and cruel. You simply do not have to accept what someone tells you is real. If you think you have to struggle to pay the bills, you may want to take a look at the possibility that your possessions are enslaving you. How many things do you feel you MUST have? How much could you let go in order to be freer? Or, what could you do to increase your income that would allow you to keep all of your possessions and acquire even more? Think about this. If you are in a relationship that no longer serves you, then why do you remain in it? Could it be you think you have no other choice and "reality" dictates that you must stay there? If you do not like your present reality, then go within and ask your Higher Self what part of you is thinking negatively and why.
What Were You Taught?
Much of what we believe about the nature of reality and ourselves is determined by what is taught to us. We are told what is and what is not "real" and what to expect and how to fit in. This is done so that the vast majority of us do not make the full connection with our true spiritual selves. Therefore, control and power are maintained and the status quo goes unchallenged.
The "real world', as it has been traditionally defined, is an illusion. Our challenge is to realize this and then to discover our own. Consider how much you may have bought into the program and, when you are ready, start creating your new reality and don't look back.
The Matrix is an interesting movie. After you get past the story itself and begin processing the actual dialogue and thinking about it, you can come up with some disturbing questions for yourself, and some amazing revelations.

in the 1930s we had mass unemployment, but we don't have unemployment during the war. If you can have full employment by killing Germans... why can't you have full employment by building hospitals, building schools, recruiting nurses, recruiting teachers?

All of reality is held by consciousness. That is why it is so important to hold your mind on the Truth, so that your reality will align with what is most beneficial to you according to the thoughts of divine intelligence. Awareness or knowledge is a defence against spiritual attack or reality manipulation. Awareness/knowledge alone passively protects by locking down one's reality against attempted manipulation by negative forces. But when such forces manage to enter through areas lacking awareness, it is only through the active utilization of knowledge and awareness by taking action to counter their offenses and not giving in to their sly attempts to further penetrate your realm and steal your energy that these attacks are overcomed.
When an event happens whether it is an attack, an accident or a synchronicity, most likely it happened for a reason. It would be wise to reflect upon its possible meanings and learn the lessons as efficiently as possible. If not, the lesson may be introduced again and more unjustified pain is experienced. The reason may be simply that an attack happened because it could. The lesson then is to ensure than it cannot happen again. Sometimes an attack occurs not to teach us something new but to remind us of a lesson we have forgotten. Keeping the lesson in awareness prevents the attack from happening. That is why refreshing is important.
Negative forces do not want you to gain knowledge because when you increase in power, it threatens their dominion in this world. Gaining knowledge and applying it naturally ups your defenses. So the very knowledge that makes you a target can protect you against succumbing to attacks. Those who hoard knowledge without taking it seriously enough to apply in life get all the targeting that comes with great knowledge, but possessing only half the protection, so they get eliminated pretty quickly.
Choosing is the core process necessary for learning and spiritual evolution. You incarnate in this life to learn a certain set of pre-arranged lessons. Through synchronicity, your Higher Self guides the flow of your life to introduce these lessons when you are ready to learn them. You choose how you learn your lessons, the easy way based on awareness, or the hard way based on ignorance. Under ideal circumstances, you always learn your lessons the easiest way, which is a way most closely aligned with the mindset of the Higher Self, a virtuous spiritual position endowed with awareness and discernment.
But there is much possibility for going astray. Because you have freewill, you can commit "errors". Even worse, negative forces exist to trick and manipulate you into straying as far from your life path as possible. There is no wrong path through life, as all lead to you learning the same lessons in the end. Nevertheless, the farther you stray from the easiest path, the more lengthy, convoluted, and painful the path toward learning that particular lesson. Thus, for every given lesson, you choose the degree of painful suffering necessary to learn it. If you choose with discernment, no suffering is necessary.
When negative beings cannot bypass your freewill in an area which you have awarenes, all they can do is offer choices, biasing the choices so that you are more likely to choose the negative option and therefore tarnish your being. Biased as they are, as long as they are still choices, your freewill is not violated. It's amazing what degree of manipulation can be done which does not qualify as a freewill violation, for "permission" is a broad term.
You cannot win by taking the choices your adversaries give you. Always look for the third option, the way of skipping, bypassing, or circumventing the rules they try to place upon you. The best way to win a game is to stop playing by its rules. Their games are customized to fit what they know about how you react, so stop reacting and alter your methods as fits the situation on the basis of what seems like the smartest thing to do. By adapting your methods to their approach, you are always one step ahead. But generally, it's wise to not even play their games, so watch out for falling into their ambush. Stay centered in your territory where the light shines. Win by transcending the system.
Having knowledge and awareness makes you less predictable. The more knowledge you have, the more freewill you have, the more choices you can make because you're aware of those choices, and the harder it is for them to calculate what you will do next. Being unpredictable makes them less efficient in their attack because they must spread their resources to account for a wider range of probable weaknesses.
Not all lessons must be experienced with pain, because it is obvious that clever people can learn from the mistakes of others. This arises from the concept that, in truth, we are all "one" on a fundamental soul level, and learning from the mistakes of others is an action that illustrates one's correct understanding of this principle. Always having to experience something negative for oneself is a sign that one is separate, alone, and more individuated than one truly is. The price of that ignorance is having to suffer through a painful experience. Experience is a means to an end of learning a lesson. Those who make experience the end goal are going down the negative path.
Seek to learn from all you experience. If you are open to learning from your experiences, then the more you are attacked, the more knowledgeable you become. They take a gamble every time they attack. Either they win and you become weak, or they lose and you become stronger. It's your choice. They end up shooting themselves in the foot when they attack a strong target. Therefore they always seek to attack when they have good enough chance of winning or when the payoff is worth the risk. They stop attacking once the target has proven to be a tough case. They'd rather focus their energy on other places where they can do more effect for their cause.
