conscious rap... how do i say this? it served as the pioneer in the art. it was, in my opinion, the purest form of rap. and yet, music has gone astray from the very essence that made rap critically acclaimed. there's an artist named NOVEL that i love. check him out at www.myspace.com/novelmyspace
