Robert Peterson on OBE's on Coast 2 Coast

The OBE stuff starts at 1:16:55, I haven't listened to the part before that because it's about fish oil and life is too short :p Robert Peterson talks about his OBE & Astral Projection experiences.

When Proof Is Not Enough: Eben Alexander's Proof of Heaven and the Problem of Objectivity in Science

Check out this article on Reality Sandwich
"But many other questions remain.  Unanswered questions for me, which I have not yet seen raised by others, include ones about possible psychotropic substances in the E. Coli bacteria themselves, as well as the possible involvement of Acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme whose activity is studied in schizophrenic patients, and whose function is amplified by other types of meningitis."
I don't really understand how no one on Reality Sandwich mentions Rick Strassman's work and endogenous DMT releases linked to NDE's in this article or the comments. This is the first I heard about Eben Alexander. But there's a Neuroatomist, Jill Bolte Taylor, who had a spiritual experience of her own.

I think the title for Eben's book is really poorly chosen (apparently his publisher's chose it) and proof is a weighty word for it. This article, linked in the RS as a reference has quotes.
My experience showed me that the death of the body and the brain are not the end of consciousness, that human experience continues beyond the grave. More important, it continues under the gaze of a God who loves and cares about each one of us, about where the universe itself and all the beings within it are ultimately going.
To me it just sounds like he's talking about "that cosmic ocean" I went to when I was on psylocybin.
You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever. You have nothing to fear. There is nothing you can do wrong.
I felt that too. But the following is something I did not experience, my experience was limited to planet Earth, I feel perhaps cause at that time I needed grounding more than anything, some grounding!
I saw the abundance of life throughout countless universes, including some whose intelligence was advanced far beyond that of humanity. I saw that there are countless higher dimensions, but that the only way to know these dimensions is to enter and experience them directly. They cannot be known, or understood, from lower dimensional space. Cause and effect exist in these higher realms, but outside our earthly conception of them. The world of time and space in which we move in this terrestrial realm is tightly and intricately meshed within these higher worlds…. The knowledge given to me was not “taught” in the way that a history lesson or math theorem would be. Insights happened directly, rather than needing to be coaxed and absorbed. Knowledge was stored without memorization, instantly and for good. It didn’t fade, like ordinary information does, and to this day I still possess all of it, much more clearly than I possess the information that I gained over all my years in school.

Here's a clip of an interview with Oprah - damn that woman is hard to tolerate, how the hell did she get her reputation cause I couldn't stand her in this. I'm gonna read some more about this, the least you can say is it's interesting.

I've had so many dreams like this

From Lon Milo DuQuette's Low Magick:

"You know you're out of your body...
  • When forward or upward movement in a dream becomes difficult or impossible to continue. For example: you are walking down a dream sidewalk, walking up stairs, or driving or bicycling down a road and you suddenly find your legs are too heavy to move or the car or bike breaks down. This indicates that you are moving from a lower/slower vibratory level into a higher/more subtle vibratory level, one that your big fat dream vehicles can't enter. If you are lucid at this moment, you can stop walking or riding or driving and will yourself to fly forward, leaving your grosser body behind."
Finally looking forward to another one of those, just had one last week and I freaking hated them. I always woke up feeling like I was in a long queue all night. The book is really great, I'm almost finished with it. I could have done without the long Tarot card advertisement chapter but there's some interesting Goetia-Tarot reference material in there at least.

DMT: The Spirit Molecule

I was looking forward to this documentary for so long, finally viewed it and what an excellent job they did with it!

Dr Strassman's DMT research is one of the corner stones of my Mystical Reality Tunnel. What a great documentary, I highly recommend the book to anyone as well, click the Rick Strassman label for related posts.

Antero Alli: The Eight-Circuit Brain (Excerpt from new book)

Reality Sandwich is featuring an excerpt from Antero Alli's new book The Eight-Circuit Brain: Navigational Strategies for the Energetic Body, forthcoming from Vertical Pool Publishing.
The Four Survival Circuits: Their Fixations and Anchors

Each of the first four "survival circuits" are driven by variations on the primary will to survive. Fixations refer to any concentration and investment of consciousness in specific events and experiences that activate a given circuit. Fixation also demonstrates how consciousness can become fixed, or "stuck," in one circuit over another by overemphasis. Anchors refer to how we know a circuit has been earned and integrated and is ready to serve as a stabilizing influence, or anchor, for absorbing and integrating the shock from its higher overtone function (1 & 5, 2 & 6, 3 & 7, 4 & 8; more on this later).

C-1 Physio-Biological Intelligence; the will to survive fixations: food, shelter, self-preservation, material goods, safety and security.

Anchor: degree of confidence earned and maintained to assure physical survival.

C-2 Emotional-Territorial Intelligence; the will to power fixations: self-defense, territoriality, status, ego-strength, emotional honesty.

Anchor: degree of emotional confidence earned and maintained to assure personal worth.

C-3 Symbolic-Conceptual Intelligence; the will to sanity fixations: thinking, problem solving, analysis, semantics, system theories.

Anchor: degree of mental confidence earned and maintained to assure peace of mind.

C-4 Social-Moral Intelligence; the will to socialize fixations: friendship, domestication, sexual rites and tribal identity, ethical codes, religions.

Anchor: degree of social confidence earned and maintained to assure sense of belonging.

The Four Post-Survival Circuits: Their Catalysts and Shocks

Catalysts refer to whatever triggers and stimulates the specific energy, or current, innate to a given circuit. Shocks refer to the specific impact these currents and energies have to stimulate growth and evolution in their corresponding survival circuits, i.e., 5 & 1, 6 & 2, 7 & 3, and 8 & 4.

C-5 Somatic Intelligence of Body Wisdom and Five Senses

Catalysts: whatever triggers the experience of rapture, communion with nature, tantra (yoga, meditation, ritual), charisma, second wind, falling in love (endorphins) and the expanding presence of being here now.

The Shocks of Ecstasy and Bliss (absence of suffering).

C-6 Intuitive-Psychic Intelligence of the Brain, Spine, & CNS.

Catalysts: whatever triggers the experience of the energetic body or aura, the second attention, intuition, clairvoyance and other psychic abilities, ritual magick, reality selection, direct perception of a relative nature of reality.

The Shocks of Uncertainty and Freedom (absence of falsely assumed certitudes and dogmas).

C-7 Mytho-Poetic Genetic Intelligence of DNA and the Planetary Entity.

Catalysts: whatever triggers the experience of ancestral and past life memories, autonomous archetypes, synchronicity, planetary (Gaia) mind, cosmic consciousness.

The Shocks of Indivisibility and Cosmic Unity (absence of dualistic consciousness).

C-8 Quantum-Nonlocal Intelligence of Subatomic interactions.

Catalysts: whatever triggers near death experience, out of body experiences, the dreambody/dreamtime continuum, communion with Void and the mysterious singularity at the heart of subatomic activity.

The Shocks of Death and Impermanence (absence of ego-identification and release from physical body).

Asgard: the Nine Worlds

This is a diagram of the Nine Worlds of Asgard, showing the relationship of the various separate dimensional realms. The diagram is not drawn to scale, nor do the positioning of the worlds above or below one another have any real significance since they are not in the same dimensional plane. The only evidence for placing Asgard at the top is that the world-tree Yggdrasil has its trunk and branches there, while its root system manifests itself on most of the other worlds. Yggdrasil, also not drawn to scale, is aligned with the Cosmic Axis with which the Earth’s axis also aligned. Only a sample of the interdimensional passageways between worlds are shown here. The number of free-standing natural nexuses are unknown. The world of Niffleheim is not considered a separate world in the Asgardian cosmology, but is thought to be an adjunct world to Hell.

From MCS, don't forget your ass-guard when traveling through Asgard...

Star(gate) Trek DS9 Synchromystic Tidbits

Synchromystic tidbit fun time
Plenty to choose from here, after all this is the show featuring president Obama, I mean Commander Sisko who runs the space station DS9 after the CERN 'launch', I mean the discovery of a stable wormhole. There's a clear d and 9 in the CERN logo, and if you really want it to be there you can find an S. You have to admit, the image of the space station next to the logo is interesting too.

From the first episode Emissary synopsis:
Sisko finds that he has encountered entities in the wormhole who speak to him through images of his wife, friends, and crew members. The "wormhole entities" question Sisko's corporeal and linear existence, and explain that they become disrupted when such beings pass through the wormhole.
Sisko attempts to explain how his kind thrive on its linear existence, but the entities point out that he continues to return to the moment of his wife Jennifer's death. "You are here!" Sisko comes to the rationalization that he has been grieving over the loss of his wife and explains this to the aliens.

The wormhole entities could be any kind of entity one might encounter OBE through the stargate of 8th Circuit Neuroatomic consciousness. As the modus operandi of these wormhole entities is very reminiscent of certain altered states of the entheogenic kind; "What comes before now, is no different than what is now, or what is to come, it's one's existence."

Dax meditating, an exercise where you have to maintain the shape of some kind of energy ball. (1x04 A man alone).

Dr. Baltar & Dr. Bashir
Lookalikes! Thanks to BSG Baltar, I can finally stand Bashir and can now watch DS9 heh. The actor who plays Bashir, Alexander Siddig was originally Rick Berman's first choice to play Benjamin Sisko, the DS9 commander. Later his lookalike James Callis' character Baltar, also a doctor and womanizer, would become the president for a while in the new Battlestar Galactica.

Remember this post the Atomium Sync Trail, I saw this DS9 episode recently called "Move Along Home" (1x10), where some characters get trapped in a 'game'. One of the subgames is a game of replicating a hopskotch routine. (I also recently came across the Atomium/Tree of Life image on a magick book in a Red Knight comic book, which I will post here asap.)
Eye-in-Pyramid dice
Haha, it's just a game!

Interesting architecture on the Cardassian space station. (The Nagus 1x11)

Stargate Wormhole Action

For CK and Jake, a leprechaun Rumplestiltskin, oh well ;)
From the episode "If Wishes Were Horses" wherein an alien species tries to learn more about humanoid imagination by making it manifest in reality.

Odo, the shapeshifting Security Chief. When Odo finally finds his people, he finds out they are the leaders of the Dominion, a ruthless and militaristic state of the Gamma Quadrant. Interestingly, Odo is a name typically associated with historical figures from the Middle Ages and before, clerics and royals mostly. Odo is etymologically related to the names Otho and Otto, and to the French name Odon, and to the Italian names Ottone and Udo; all come from a Germanic word meaning "possessor of wealth".

Matthew Delooze faces the Beast

If you consider yourself concerned about world affairs, an activist, spiritual, aware about your own inner peace and the wellbeing of your loved ones and life in general, in my opinion the following link might be one of the most important pieces (of the puzzle) you ever read.

Matthew Delooze takes Ayahuasca and faces the Beast

Come On… Feel the Noise, just one quote:
"The biggest beast of control is within us. It is not the Serpent Cult it is us. We are our own beast. Our minds have been manipulated since birth by a very deceptive force and no matter how awake we think we are that force still has a massive grip on all of us in some way or other. If we want to be free then we have to really want to be free and not play games at being free. We have to feel the noise of freedom on a full time basis not just hear the noise of freedom on a part time basis. There is a very big difference. Once we do that then our minds will lose the hypnotic grip of the Serpent Cult that has enslaved the human race for thousands of years." Matthew Delooze

A.J. Ayer, a prominent skeptic's beliefs challenged by NDE

Thanks to CĂ m for this:

Sir A.J. Ayer (October 29, 1910 – June 27, 1989), was a British philosopher known for his promotion of logical positivism, particularly in his books Language, Truth and Logic (1936) and The Problem of Knowledge (1956).

Ayer was the Grote Professor of the Philosophy of Mind and Logic at the University College London from 1946 until 1959, when he became Wykeham Professor of Logic at the University of Oxford. He was president of the Aristotelian Society from 1951 to 1952. He was knighted in 1970.

Ayer is famous for his philosophical work promoting the idea that metaphysics is meaningless and only that which is empirical (receptive to the senses) during everyday ordinary consciousness is verifiable, otherwise it is 'meaningless'. Like all 'positivists' he was relentlessly skeptical (dismissive) about anything out of the ordinary.

Well, I just heard today, near the end of a presentation I gave on quantum mechanics, from the professor in charge that A.J. Ayer had a near death experience (NDE) during the later years of his life and experienced divinity during that period. After this experience he started suggesting that what he had written (his careers work) was now necessarily all wrong!

"In 1988, Ayer reported having near-death experience, after having nearly choked to death while eating. His heart was said to have stopped beating for several minutes until he was resuscitated. A few years back there was some controversy over Ayer because of accounts given by the attending physician, Dr. Jeremy George who claimed that upon awakening, after his hear-stoppage, Ayer said, "I saw a Divine Being."

Ayer said:
"I'm afraid I'm going to have to revise all my various books and opinions."

Ayer's wife was quoted as having said something like "Freddy is so much nicer since he died," in reference to his near-death experience.

"Did you know that I was dead? The first time that I tried to cross the 'river' I was frustrated, but my second attempt succeeded. It was most extraordinary. My thoughts became persons." - A.J. Ayer's words upon resuscitation

The full description of Ayer's NDE mystical experience:
"The only memory that I have of an experience, closely encompassing my death, is very vivid.
I was confronted by a red light, exceedingly bright, and also very painful even when I turned away from it. I was aware that this light was responsible for the government of the universe. Among its ministers were two creatures who had been put in charge of space.
These ministers periodically inspected space and had recently carried out such an inspection. They had, however, failed to do their work properly, with the result that space, like a badly fitting jigsaw puzzle, was slightly out of joint.
A further consequence was that the laws of nature had ceased to function as they should. I felt that it was up to me to put things right. I also had the motive of finding a way to extinguish the painful light. I assumed that it was signaling that space was awry and that it would switch itself off when order was restored.
Unfortunately, I had no idea where the guardians of space had gone and feared that even if I found them I should not be able to communicate with them.
It then occurred to me that whereas, until the present century, physicists accepted the Newtonian severance of space and time, it had become customary, since the vindication of Einstein's general theory of relativity, to treat space-time as a single whole. Accordingly, I thought that I could cure space by operating upon time.
I was vaguely aware that the ministers who had been given charge of time were in my neighborhood and I proceeded to hail them. I was again frustrated. Either they did not hear me, or they chose to ignore me, or they did not understand me. I then hit upon the expedient of walking up and down, waving my watch, in the hope of drawing their attention not to my watch itself but to the time which it measured. This elicited no response. I became more and more desperate, until the experience suddenly came to an end."

This experience, couped with countless others from people who have had similar experiences is rather strong evidence that death does not put an end to consciousness.

"The materialist fundamentalists are funnier than the Christian fundamentalists, because they think they're rational!" Robert Anton Wilson

From the wiki: Shortly before his death in 1989 he received publicity after having an unusual near-death experience, which has often been misinterpreted as a move away from his lifelong and famous religious skepticism (which is not the same as mystic or spiritual skepticism...). Of the experience, Ayer first said that it "slightly weakened my conviction that my genuine death ... will be the end of me, though I continue to hope that it will be." However, a few days later he revised this, saying "what I should have said is that my experiences have weakened, not my belief that there is no life after death, but my inflexible attitude towards that belief". Ayer was the BBC's famous atheist front-man. Ayer wrote an article in 1988, "What I saw when I was dead." In 2001 Dr. Jeremy George, the attending physician, told William Cash, who had written a play about Ayer, that Ayer had confided to him: "I saw a Divine Being. I'm afraid I'm going to have to revise all my books and opinions."

Terence McKenna: Time and Mind (the Tykes)

Check out this 4 page Partial Transcription of a lecture by Terence McKenna - May 26/27, 1990 - New Mexico on the Machine Elves. This is only a small excerpt:

So you burst into this space. It's lit, socketed lighting, some kind of indirect lighting you can't quite locate. But what is astonishing and immediately riveting is that in this place there are entities - there are these things, which I call "self transforming machine elves," I also call them self-dribbling basketballs. They are, but they are none of these things. I mean you have to understand: these are metaphors in the truest sense, meaning they're lies! Uh, it's a jeweled self-transforming basketball, a machine elf. I name them 'Tykes' because tyke is a word that means to me a small child, and I was fascinated by the 54th fragment of Heraclitis, where he says: "The Aeon is a child at play with colored balls" ... and when you burst into the DMT space this is the Aeon - it's a child, and it's at play with colored balls, and I am in eternity, apparently,
in the presence of this thing.
There are many of these things, but the main thing that's happening is that they are engaged in a linguistic activity of some sort, which we do not have words for, but it's visible language. They are doing the visible language trip. When you break into the space, they actually cheer! The first thing you hear when you pass across is this 'hhhyeaaaaaayyy' - you know the Pink Floyd song? "The Gnomes have Learned a New Way to Say Hoo-Ray?" This has gotta be what these guys were talking about; how else could it be? It doesn't make any sense otherwise.
You break into this space... the gnomes say hoo-ray! And they come rushing forward and they, and, and the thing then that happens is... and people say "is there risk, to DMT? it sounds so intense. Is it dangerous?". The answer is: yes, it's tremendously dangerous; the danger is the possibility of death by astonishment. And you must prepare yourself for this eventuality, because you are so amazed. Amazement seems to be the emotion that has torn loose and swamped everything else - I mean astounded? When was the last time you were genuinely 'ASTOUNDED'? I mean, I think you can go your whole damned life without being 'ASTOUNDED'... and this is astonishment, you know, raised to the N-th degree to the point that your jaw hangs...
