Economist Peter Schiff (advisor of Ron Paul during his election campaign), had warned in 2006 under much derision from the neo-cons and others that the US was going towards a recession, based on the imbalance between consumption/loans on one side and production/saving on the other. Schiff spoke in March 2008 about a possible coming problem. During a news broadcast of CNN International on 24 november 2008 an interview with Schiff is suddenly interrupted because of "technical difficulties".
