Leaving tomorrow morning, 2 weeks of silence here
I'm leaving for Thailand tomorrow morning so it'll be quiet here for 2 weeks. But there's the archives, the new dedroidify.com and the internets in general to keep you busy! I'm all packed and ready, just finished cramming the last few MBs of free space on the iphone with Sync 42, Psychedelic Salon, Alan Watts and Terence McKenna talks so I'll be in good company! See you in two weeks!
Gorillas and Ostriches
This site is sort of entertaining if you wanna waste an afternoon ;p
Haha, yes I did know that. RAW you kidder.
Revelation of the Pyramids
Revelation of the Pyramids
(can't embed, link may break soon, just look for the title online then)
This documentary aired on tv here last night. Lots of questions and stuff you already know probably but worth a watch. Woo we demand answers but ain't gonna get em!
Thankfully we can depend on the intelligent people on this planet to clear everything up though:
"this movie is stupid, y'all scientist are stupid, there's no such thing as aliens - read the bible y'all"
hopia munggo - More hilarity here.

Mister Rogers Remixed | Garden of Your Mind
Did you ever grow anything in the garden of your mind?
You can grow ideas in the garden of your mind.
Thanks JJ!
BS
Slightly related, I stopped reading Rudolf Steiner after reading in the first 40 pages of a book that animals have no memory, limbs go to sleep because the etheric body is seperated from the physical there, and we reincarnate every few thousand years - I forget the exact number! LOL! I mean damn, theosophy is hilarious sometimes. There are limits to what my open mind will put up with.

Statement of Beliefs - Why doesn't every publishing company have this on their website?
Cause they're not all run by batshit crazy people I guess...
Check out this big bag of insane.
Jesus destroyed all the works of Satan, who as god of this world, is allowed to continue, for now, to blind the eyes of those who do not believe. Satan leads a host of fallen beings who are his aids in warring against believers. Believers must be aware of the reality of spiritual warfare and know that victory is theirs through the application of scriptural truth and the presence and power of the indwelling Spirit of Christ.Woo Jesus! Spiritual warfare! You lose if you don't believe ze bible! It's not that hard yo!

When Proof Is Not Enough: Eben Alexander's Proof of Heaven and the Problem of Objectivity in Science
Check out this article on Reality Sandwich
I think the title for Eben's book is really poorly chosen (apparently his publisher's chose it) and proof is a weighty word for it. This article, linked in the RS as a reference has quotes.
Here's a clip of an interview with Oprah - damn that woman is hard to tolerate, how the hell did she get her reputation cause I couldn't stand her in this. I'm gonna read some more about this, the least you can say is it's interesting.
"But many other questions remain. Unanswered questions for me, which I have not yet seen raised by others, include ones about possible psychotropic substances in the E. Coli bacteria themselves, as well as the possible involvement of Acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme whose activity is studied in schizophrenic patients, and whose function is amplified by other types of meningitis."I don't really understand how no one on Reality Sandwich mentions Rick Strassman's work and endogenous DMT releases linked to NDE's in this article or the comments. This is the first I heard about Eben Alexander. But there's a Neuroatomist, Jill Bolte Taylor, who had a spiritual experience of her own.

My experience showed me that the death of the body and the brain are not the end of consciousness, that human experience continues beyond the grave. More important, it continues under the gaze of a God who loves and cares about each one of us, about where the universe itself and all the beings within it are ultimately going. To me it just sounds like he's talking about "that cosmic ocean" I went to when I was on psylocybin.
You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever. You have nothing to fear. There is nothing you can do wrong.I felt that too. But the following is something I did not experience, my experience was limited to planet Earth, I feel perhaps cause at that time I needed grounding more than anything, some grounding!
I saw the abundance of life throughout countless universes, including some whose intelligence was advanced far beyond that of humanity. I saw that there are countless higher dimensions, but that the only way to know these dimensions is to enter and experience them directly. They cannot be known, or understood, from lower dimensional space. Cause and effect exist in these higher realms, but outside our earthly conception of them. The world of time and space in which we move in this terrestrial realm is tightly and intricately meshed within these higher worlds…. The knowledge given to me was not “taught” in the way that a history lesson or math theorem would be. Insights happened directly, rather than needing to be coaxed and absorbed. Knowledge was stored without memorization, instantly and for good. It didn’t fade, like ordinary information does, and to this day I still possess all of it, much more clearly than I possess the information that I gained over all my years in school.
Here's a clip of an interview with Oprah - damn that woman is hard to tolerate, how the hell did she get her reputation cause I couldn't stand her in this. I'm gonna read some more about this, the least you can say is it's interesting.
Increased use and research of psychedelics in the use of PTSD and other issues.
The Second Coming of Psychedelics | Spirituality & Health Magazine:
"“At first, it’s the worst thing you’ve ever done in your life. Then all of a sudden you blink your eyes and you are not there anymore. You get out of your body and look back and see what is wrong with you. I saw the shell of the person I didn’t want to be and stepped out of it. It was the most amazing thing. I’ve taken lots of drugs before, but I never remembered. I think this is the key. You actually gain knowledge from this. I don’t even consider it a drug. It’s an eye-opener. It makes you think about stuff. Your deepest, darkest secrets, stuff you have been holding on to since you were eight years old—it washes out of you, and you feel like a totally different person. People look at you differently. Your whole world changes before your eyes.”"Reblogged from Relaxed Focus.
