Illuminati: The Board Game of Conspiracy

They're all around us. Secret conspiracies are everywhere, and where can you find the only truth? Certainly not in the game of Illuminati. Fnord.

The object of Illuminati is to take control of the world. The phone company is controlled by creatures from outer space. The Congressional Wives have taken over the Pentagon. And the Boy Sprouts are cashing in their secret Swiss bank account to smash the IRS! Two to six players compete to grab powerful groups and increase their wealth and power. No ploy is too devious, no stratagem too low, as you scheme your way to victory.

11:11

Here's an interesting dream I woke up from today... I'm trying out clothes in a store, I open the curtain and 2 robbers are standing in front of me. One gets out a taser, and I obviously ninja-deflect his present right back to him (seemed easy enough in the dream! And btw, my 'first' encounter with a taser ;p). They still get away somehow, and people in the street citizen-arrest them with handcuffs, the cop in civilian clothes wasn't too happy with that lol, but still appreciated it. When they're all gone, I go back in the store, which has changed into a candy shop. The girl offers me 2 pieces of candy, but I trip all over the boxes in front of the cash register desk and drop them. I get up and I take a shoe-lace candy string instead, and hold it like a kundalini going from root to third eye chakra with the slight bend at the top, and ask how much it is, she tells me: 11.11. I wake up right after that, and what time is it?... 11.11. What could all this possibly mean, I guess lightening up about any perceived attacks and deflecting if necessary, let others help, yet don't expect gifts but work towards your own evolution, and wake up! Heh.

2008 was the year man-made global warming was disproved

The Hives - Hate to Say I Told You So (feat. Stargate)
Telegraph Article: "Looking back over my columns of the past 12 months, one of their major themes was neatly encapsulated by two recent items from The Daily Telegraph.

The first, on May 21, headed "Climate change threat to Alpine ski resorts" , reported that the entire Alpine "winter sports industry" could soon "grind to a halt for lack of snow". The second, on December 19, headed "The Alps have best snow conditions in a generation" , reported that this winter's Alpine snowfalls "look set to beat all records by New Year's Day".

Easily one of the most important stories of 2008 has been all the evidence suggesting that this may be looked back on as the year when there was a turning point in the great worldwide panic over man-made global warming. Just when politicians in Europe and America have been adopting the most costly and damaging measures politicians have ever proposed, to combat this supposed menace, the tide has turned in three significant respects...

Secondly, 2008 was the year when any pretence that there was a "scientific consensus" in favour of man-made global warming collapsed. At long last, as in the Manhattan Declaration last March, hundreds of proper scientists, including many of the world's most eminent climate experts, have been rallying to pour scorn on that "consensus" which was only a politically engineered artefact, based on ever more blatantly manipulated data and computer models programmed to produce no more than convenient fictions.
Wow. Read the rest of this Telegraph article: 2008 was the year man-made global warming was disproved. I know, I couldn't believe it either. Truth, in mainstream media. Hell may be freezing over now that Global Warming is dying (ahum, wait and see). That'll teach the silly robots to believe the hype, now good luck at trying to get this through to people, media. I wonder how this will affect Obama's precious policies, btw, speaking of WITCH, this made me laugh too. I guess Al(l) Gore will have to make another movie, maybe something Truthy and Inconveniency related. Time for another song.

The Structure of Consciousness, Part One: Archetypes and Circuits

Check out this post from Druid Journal:
"This is the first of a series of posts on how human consciousness is structured. There are dozens of hypotheses from all over the world about how consciousness can be raised, lowered, changed, and so forth. In this series, I’d like to present some of my favorites: mythological archetypes, the Leary eight-circuit model, western astrology, the chakra system, Rudolf Steiner’s ideas, David Hawkins’s 12 levels of consciousness, and the Tarot. I’m going to describe them briefly and try to integrate them into a single model. (Then I’m going to try to run a 1.5-minute mile, fly to the moon, and cure cancer. Then I’ll have breakfast.) This is going to be challenging, but fun."

Milton H. Erickson and the Elevator

I don't know what pussy wrote this introduction on wikipedia, cause as a patient I'd take a shock like this any day, but here you go:
Erickson is famous for pioneering indirect techniques, but his shock therapy tends to get less attention, perhaps because it is uncomfortable for us to hear such uncharacteristic stories about an inspirational and gentle healer. Nonetheless, Erickson was prepared to use psychological shocks and ordeals in order to achieve given results:

"When the old gentleman asked if he could be helped for his fear of riding in an elevator, I told him I could probably scare the pants off him in another direction. He told me that nothing could be worse than his fear of an elevator.
The elevators in that particular building were operated by young girls, and I made special arrangements with one in advance. She agreed to cooperate and thought it would be fun. I went with the gentleman to the elevator. He wasn't afraid of walking into an elevator, but when it started to move it became an unbearable experience. So I chose an unbusy time and I had him walk in and out of the elevator, back in and out. Then at a point when we walked in, I told the girl to close the door and said, "Let's go up."
She went up one story and stopped in between floors. The gentleman started to yell, "What's wrong!" I said, "The elevator operator wants to kiss you." Shocked, the gentleman said, "But I'm a married man!" The girl said, "I don't mind that." She walked toward him, and he stepped back and said, "You start the elevator." So she started it. She went up to about the fourth floor and stopped it again between floors. She said, "I just have a craving for a kiss." He said, "You go about your business." He wanted that elevator moving, not standing still. She replied, "Well, let's go down and start all over again," and she began to take the elevator down. He said, "Not down, up!" since he didn't want to go through that all over again.
She started up and then stopped the elevator between floors and said, "Do you promise you'll ride down in my elevator with me when you're through work?" He said, "I'll promise anything if you promise not to kiss me." He went up in the elevator, relieved and without fear - of the elevator - and could ride one from then on."

The Incredible Pranayama Hulk (minor spoilers)

After the trainwreck that was the first movie, we finally get what we hoped for! In the Incredible Hulk, Edward Norton plays Bruce Banner, who uses meditation and pranayama breathing techniques to gain control over his anger, and his own mind. Control your own (hulk) body, control your own mind. I have an interesting relationship with anger myself and pranayama has helped me tremendously. Warning: Messing around with pranayama in an undisciplined manner can and will screw you up in ways that your doctor will not be able to help you with.

Here Bruce Banner was apparently meditating with a metronome (he's holding it).
"I can keep rhythm with no metronome, no metronome." Flobots (Handlebars)

After sparring with his martial arts teacher, it's time for more interesting exercises.

"Here, emotion (chest). Fear, no good. So emotion... and control (stomach).
The best way to control your anger, is to control your body. Control your pulse. Breathe."

Breathing from the chest is what most of us do, yet it's not optimal at all. Energy can stagnate because the circulation of breath is not what it has to be, for this we should breathe from below. In my times of mastery, I am always breathing from below. When someone complains to me about anything, I will always mention breathing when appropriate.
There are many forms of breathing exercises. Before meditation (optimal regiment is twice daily, morning and early evening), one can set a timer of ten minutes (wether in his mind or on a clock, or add a noise at the tenth minute of any meditation music) and breathe slowly in through the stomach, hold for a while, then release completely. Doing this in a relaxed manner (not forced at all), can help to calm you down tremendously no matter where you are. It stills the mind and is a great meditation beginner. If you want to go further, you can visualise a small light going from your perineum, up the spine, to your third eye (not the crown!).

Here the teacher does a small demonstration of the real life technique called "Breath of fire", for beginners, you breathe in completely, and then you take one or two minutes to pump air in and out with brute force, after two minutes, you relax and breathe relaxed and normal again, this is a prana(yama) or chi building exercise and a nervous system clearing exercise, during this exercise we can visualise ourselves fill with light and see that light break through energy blockages. Needless to say, you get a li'l high, hehe.

Control of the mind, control of the body, control of the pulse, control of... meditate and find out.

In the end we see Banner meditating again, with my favorite mudra.

He's finished and the hands open, btw, no metronome in sight.

A stretching of the muscles.

Looks like Banner's meditations have payed off, those are green eyes,
and he now can call on his power through his will.

Herman van Veen - Toveren

This is a classic dutch magic(k)al song, it all rhymes in dutch, translating it literally and still having it rhyme was impossible but I gave it a go, failed miserably throughout lol, but people can try to sing along in english :p, or improve upon it. Dutch lyrics here.

If he knew wizardry
everything'd be fine
If he knew wizardry
everyone'd be divine (literal: nobody'd get too heavy :p)
If he knew wizardry, knew wizardry,
knew wizardry, knew wizardry
then everybody would love each other

Every house had a 100 rooms and every room had tv
and his parents lived forever, and so did he
the river wasn't made of water, but of orange juice
and he shouldn't have to learn what he didn't choose

If he knew wizardry
everything'd be fine (and nobody was hungry)
If he knew wizardry
everyone'd be divine (and everybody singing)
If he knew wizardry, knew wizardry
knew wizardry, knew wizardry
then everybody would love each other

His buddy would suddenly understand
why he got into a fight with him
and as he climbed the trone
everyone would bow for him
and it always snowed in winter
and it was cosy warm
and nobody was born rich
and nobody became poor

If he knew wizardry
everything'd be fine (and nobody was hungry)
If he knew wizardry
everyone'd be divine (and everybody singing)
If he knew wizardry, knew wizardry
knew wizardry, knew wizardry
then everybody would love each other

But for a magic spell of quality
you lose a 1000 guilder casually
and for a bit of a magick book
a search of 50 years is what it took
and the entire curriculum of wizardry
lasts 125 years at least
he won't put up with all of that
I think he'll quit before he starts
cause even the grandma of his grandma
never had a wizardry diploma.

If I knew wizardry
everything'd be fine (and nobody was hungry)
If I knew wizardry
everyone'd be divine (and everybody singing)
If I knew wizardry, knew wizardry
knew wizardry, knew wizardry
then everybody would love each other

HOWMusic(k) Blog

Check out this fascinating blog, HOWMusic(k) at Quantumlodge.org/ezra
That "Music(k)" spelling, I find just pure genius heh! Here's the FAQ to seduce you:

Hello and Welcome to the Hidden Origins of Western Music(k) blog!

Does comparative symbolism bring humans any closer to “Truth”? By engaging in “synchromystic” analysis am I making progress towards something of value or am I just contributing more chaos to the world? These questions flow through my mind and I reflect upon WHY I started this website, WHAT I want to achieve, and HOW I set out to achieve it.

1. Why - I started this blog because I love music and because I am a composer of music. Over time I have become curious about the reason that I was taught to limit myself to the 12-Tone system. Rather than rebelling and rejecting Tonal Harmony, as many young composers do, I chose to look closer into its structure. I began to look around for meaningful clues regarding the “hidden origins” of Western Music.

For some reason, no information that I read in books or online could quite “scratch the itch” of this mystery. It is up to me, then, to clearly articulate the core questions regarding Western musical symbolism and try to answer them for myself. No one else can or will do it for me.

Music is universal to every culture, it potentially inspires a sense of awe and magical beauty, generating love and connection between humans. I noticed that it has lately been used in the mainstream as a tool for separation and thoughtlessness, encouraging mindless behavior and militaristic aggression (blastbeats?). Who is behind this force? Is toxic music the byproduct of toxic composers?

How can we TAKE BACK OUR MUSICAL SUPERPOWERS?

2. What I want to achieve: We can take back our power by unplugging from preconditioned ideas of what music is (and what it is not). This has already been taking place for several decades and I am simply a link in the chain. Some theorists have brought into my awareness the thoughtful use of Noise and Silence as an alternative to the Western system of Tonality.

Today, musical conventions in the Western world are still based on 12-Tone subdivision of the Octave - Guitar, Bass, piano… Percussion is based on halves (whole/half/quarter/eight) and triplets (3/6/9/12). In both cases we’re dealing with eight and twelve, which are what I would call “loaded numbers”.

I apologize upfront for any miscommunications that take place over the course of this blog… My research is not infallible, nor am I coming to this information with an exhaustive understanding of mythology, psychology, conspiracy, ufology, and the rest of it. What I offer, for free, is the daily research I do into the mystery of Life from a musical perspective.

3. How I do it - Synchromysticism - COMPARING… SYMBOLS… TO… EACH… OTHER…

Mythology, Alternative History, Friendly Secret Societies, Alien Technology, Structural Hierarchy, Pop Culture and Metaphysics all share common symbolic components: Words, Letters, Numbers, Lines, Color, Complex patterns… Music Notes, Chords, and Rhythms are no less an intimate part of this symbol set. Can ideas of harmonious balance between these symbolic components of the whole be separated from theories of Musical Harmony? Of course not…

Finally, I welcome all synchronauts and metaphysicians to join in on this comparative music(k)ological research.

“”Now, make no mistake, any idiot can do ‘free association’ just as anyone can bang on the keys of the piano. But that’s a far cry from actually being able to make harmonious music out of it - be it musical instruments or conceptual associations/coincidences.” - http://www.Goroadachi.com

Rudolf Steiner

I'm reading An Outline of Occult Science by Rudolf Steiner, who was an Austrian philosopher, literary scholar, educator, artist, playwright, social thinker, and esotericist. He was the founder of Anthroposophy, Waldorf education, biodynamic agriculture, anthroposophical medicine, and the new artistic form of Eurythmy. He characterized anthroposophy as follows:
Anthroposophy is a path of knowledge, to guide the spiritual in the human being to the spiritual in the universe…. Anthroposophists are those who experience, as an essential need of life, certain questions on the nature of the human being and the universe, just as one experiences hunger and thirst.

Steiner advocated a form of ethical individualism, to which he later brought a more explicitly spiritual component. He derived his epistemology from Johann Wolfgang Goethe's world view, where “Thinking… is no more and no less an organ of perception than the eye or ear. Just as the eye perceives colours and the ear sounds, so thinking perceives ideas.”

From his decision to "go public" in 1899 until his death in 1925, Steiner articulated an ongoing stream of experiences that he claimed were of the spiritual world — experiences he said had touched him from an early age on. Steiner aimed to apply his training in mathematics, science, and philosophy to produce rigorous, verifiable presentations of those experiences.

Steiner believed that through freely chosen ethical disciplines and meditative training, anyone could develop the ability to experience the spiritual world, including the higher nature of oneself and others. Steiner believed that such discipline and training would help a person to become a more moral, creative and free individual - free in the sense of being capable of actions motivated solely by love.

This is an interesting chapter from An Outline of Occult Science: Sleep and death.

Quotes:
To truly know the world, look deeply within your own being; to truly know yourself, take real interest in the world.

“A healthy social life is found only, when in the mirror of each soul the whole community finds its reflection, and when in the whole community the virtue of each one is living”

“What is necessary to keep providing good care to nature has completely fallen into ignorance during the materialism era.”

“All of nature begins to whisper its secrets to us through its sounds. Sounds that were previously incomprehensible to our soul now become the meaningful language of nature.”

“The occultist sees in the man of today a being in the full swing of evolution. Man is at the same time a fallen God and a God in the becoming.”

“Materialism has cast man into such depths that a mighty concentration of forces is necessary to raise him again. He is subject to illnesses of the nervous system which are veritable epidemics of the life of the soul.”

“The occultist sees in the man of today a being in the full swing of evolution. Man is at the same time a fallen God and a God in the becoming.”

“May my soul bloom in love for all existence.”

“Knowledge of life in the astral world leads us to a conclusion of fundamental importance, namely that the physical world is the product of the astral world.”

Belgian Government collapses!

Not that there was much governing going on, it took them a record 194 days to form an unstable interim-government. But after Belgium's supreme court said it had found "significant signs" (but no hard evidence) that the government had tried to influence judges ruling on the bail-out and sale of bank and insurer Fortis, it was finally lights out for the poly-tic(ian)s.

Sigmund Freud on Words & Magic

"Words and magic were in the beginning one and the same thing, and even today words retain much of their magical power. By words one of us can give another the greatest happiness or bring about utter despair; by words the teacher imparts his knowledge to the student; by words the orator sweeps his audience with him and determines its judgments and decisions. Words call forth emotions and are universally the means by which we influence our fellow-creatures."

Iceland's Elves

Sages and Legends in Iceland are full of trolls, elves, outlaws, spirits, afturgangas (zombies), bloodthirsty women, viking kings and gods and heroes from the North-German Mythos.

Especially elves are treated with great respect. Roads are diverted specifically around famous elven hills. For example the road between the Kópavogur sporting facility and church is called Álfshólsvegur (Elfhillroad). In Grundarfjördur between the houses numbered 82 and 86, there is a standalone elf rock. So the hidden people live at Grundargata 84! (source)

And from the wiki: According to a 2005 New York Times article: "Building in Iceland? Better Clear It With the Elves First", the majority of Icelanders either believe in elves or are unwilling to rule out their existence. Even today, roads have been re-routed and building plans redesigned or abandoned to avoid disturbing rocks where elves are said to live. Bonus.

Abraham Maslow: Peak Experiences

Excerpts from the book Religion, Values and Peak Experiences

In my first investigations, I've used this word (non-peakers) because I thought some people had peak experiences and others didn't. But the more data I collected and the more capable I became in posing questions, I realized that the longer the more of my subjects began to share their peak experiences. In the end I began to develop the habit to expect that everyone had peak experiences, and I began to be very amazed when I met someone who couldn't share any. Because of this experience I began to use the word "non-peaker" not to describe the person not capable to have peak experiences, but more so the person who fears them, represses them, denies them, turns away from them or "forgets" them.

Every person whose character structure (or belief system or way of life) forces him to be exclusively rational or 'materialistic" or mechanistic, has the tendency to become a non-peaker. That means, such a view on life turns the person in question to be disposed to regard peak and transcendental experiences as a sort of insanity, a complete loss of composure, a realization of being overwhelmed by irrational feelings, and so on. The man who is afraid to become insane and thus clings desperately to to balance, self-control, reality, and so on, seems to be shook up by peak experiences and tends to fend them off.

For the compulsive neurotic, who organizes his life around the denial and control of emotion, the fear to be overwhelmed by a feeling (what is explained as a loss of control) is enough to mobilise his entire means of destruction and defense against the peak experience.

I have one example of a very convinced Marxist who denied a real peak experience - which means she turned away from it - and in the end classified it as a sort of wonderful but unimportant something that happened, but could best be forgotten, because this experience was in contradiction with her materialistic-mechanical belief system.

I've met some non-peakers who were ultra-scientific, which means, adherers to a nineteenth century view of science as an unemotional or anti-emotional working, that is entirely controlled by logic and rationality, and who were of the opinion, that everything that wasn't logical or rational, had no respectable place in life.

(I suspect that extremely 'practical', which means exclusively means-oriented people, will also seem to be non-peakers, because such experiences do not make money, bake bread or cut wood. This is also the case for people led extremely by the outward, who barely know what goes on inside them. Maybe people who are narrowed to the concrete too.) Finally, I would like to add, that in some cases I have not found a single explanation for some non-peakers.

The relation between the prophet and the faithful, between the lonely mystic and the (completely extreme) religious organisatory man is often a relation between peaker and non-peaker. Lots of theology, lots of verbal religion throughout entire history and world can be considered as the more or less futile attempt to verbalize the original mystical experience of the original prophets in words that can communicate, and in formulas and symboli!cal rituals and ceremonies.

In short, organized religion can be seen as an attempt to convey peak experiences to non-peakers. In general we should now expect, that this must be a futile attempt, at least in so far as it concerns most of humanity. The peak experiences and their reality of experience are usually not conveyable to non-peakers, at least not with words alone and definitely not by non-peakers. What happens to a lot of people, especially by the ignorant, the undevelopped, the naive, is they simply concretize all symbols, all words, all images, all ceremonies, and turn these, rather than the original revelation, through a process of functional autonomy to the sacred and holy activities. Which means: it is simply the idolatry (or fetishism) that is the curse of every religion. In idoletry the essential original meaning is lost so much in concretization, that these become hostile against the original mystical experiences, against mystics and prophets in general, against those people that we from our current viewpoint should call the truly religious. Most religions have ended with a denial of, and the assuming of a hostile attitude towards the source of self, where they were originally based on.

If we study the internal history of most world religions closely, we shall see, that each one very soon shows the tendency to divide itself in a left wing and a rgith wing, which means, in the peakers, the mystics, the transcendentals or the personally religious people on the one hand, and on the other hand the ones that concretize religious symbols and metaphors, that rather venerate little pieces of wood than what the objects represent, the ones that take word formulas literally and thereby forget the original meaning of these words, and, maybe most important, the ones who see the organization, the church as primary and more important than the prophet and his original revelations. These people will, as many organisatory people that become leading figures in every complicated bureaucracy, be non-peakers than peakers.

We can say the same of professional philosophers, who have the endency to divide in right and left wings. Most official, orthodox, contemporary philosophers are the equivalent of the legalizers, who reject the problems or data of the transcendental as 'meaningless'. Which means, they are positivists, atomists, analytics who are more interested in means than goals. They rather sharpen tools than discover truths. These people are diametrically opposed to another group of contemporary philosophers, the existentialists and phenomenologists. These are the people who tend to fall back on the expeirence as the primary data that everything starts with.

In the past years it has become very clear that certain means, called 'psychedelic', especially LSD and Psylocybine, give us a certain possibility to control the giving of peak of experiences in this area. It seems that these means often bring about peak experiences under the right circumstances (set & setting), so we perhaps don't have to wait until they happen coincidentally. Perhaps we can, when we want, under religious or non-religious circumstances, bring about a stand-alone, personal peak experience and observe this. Perhaps then we would be able to study the experience of enlightenment or revelation at the moment of her birth. And what is even more important: perhaps we could share these means, and perhaps hypnosis could be used as well to bring about peak experiences in non-peakers, with a core-religious revelation, whereby the divide between these two separated halves would be bridged.

What I have said comes down to this: that the data of peak experiences allow us to talk about the essential, the intrinsic, the fundamental, the deepest, religious or transcendental experience as a phenomenon of completely particular and personal nature, that barely can be shared (except with other 'peakers'). As a result the entire envelopment of organized religion - buildings and specialized personnel, rites, dogmas, ceremonies and such - are secondary to the 'peaker', additional and of doubtful value in relation to the intrinsic and essential relgious or transcendental experience. Maybe all of this can even be damaging. From the perspective of the peak experiencing man everyone has their own particular religion, that he develops from their own particular revelations, in which his own particular myths, symbols, rites and ceremonies are revealed. These can be of the deepest meaning for him personally, and still yet completely idiosyncratic, which means, for somebody else of no meaning whatsoever. To say it even more simply: every 'peaker' discovers, develops and maintains their own religion.

Basically it is possible through a right understanding to transmute means-activities in goal-activities, to ontologise them: randomly place in the viewpoint of the eternal, to see the holy and symbolic in and through the individual semblance of the here-and-now. By which factors is this prevented? In general by the powers that already diminish us, pathologise or regresse us, for instance ignorance, pain, disease, fear, 'forgetting', dissociation, redirection to the 'concrete', neurotisation and so on. That means, having no core-religious peak-experiences can be a 'lower', lesser state, a state where we are not 'functioning completely', are not at our best, not completely human, not integral enough. If we are healthy and well and correspond adequately to the concept of 'human', experiences of transcendence should principally be a daily phenomonen.

Maybe that which initially appeared to me as a paradoxical, can now be seen as an evident, completely unsurprising fact. I've noticed something that never got through to me, namely that orthodox religion could very well mean a desacralisation of a big part of life. It can lead to a dichotomy of life in the transcendental and profane-secular, whereby he separates these in time and space, conceptually and empirically. This is in obvious contradiction with the facts of peak experiences. It is even in conflict with the traditional religious representations of mystical experience, not to mention the experiences of satori, nirvana and other eastern forms of mystical and peak experiences. These all agree that the sacred and the profane, the religious and the secular, are not divided. Apparently one of the dangers of the legalist and organisatorial views of religion is that they can lead to the suppression of natural peak, transcendental, mystical or other core-religious experiences, so it is less likely that these take place. Which means, there can be a negative correlation between the amount of religious organisation and the frequency of religious experiences. (Also see Jung in his autobiography "The original sin of religion was, so it seemed to me, that it tried to be ahead of experience... and confirmed my conviction that in religious matters, only experience counted.")

Conventional religions can even be used as defense and deterrent against the shocking experiences of the transcendental. Familiarity makes it unnecessary to be fully consciously thinking, feeling, living, deeply experiencing. Words can be casually repeated, without touching the interpersonal depths, regardless of how true or beautiful their meaning may be. This goes for any symbolical act whatsoever, for instance greeting the flag, or for ceremonies, rituals or myths. They can be extraordinarily important for their effect on the person and, for this person, on this world. But this is only true in so far he experiences them truly. Only then do they have meaning and effect. (translated from dutch, should have checked scribd earlier)

Classic economic theory, based as it is on an inadequate theory of human motivation, could be revolutionized by accepting the reality of higher human needs, including the impulse to self actualization and the love for the highest values.

But behavior in the human being is sometimes a defense, a way of concealing motives and thoughts, as language can be a way of hiding your thoughts and preventing communication.

Internet Consciousness

In 24 hours, through the collective consciousness resonating internet...

I talked to my folks in Thailand, talked about entheogens with a dude from Finland, got great advice from someone in Australia, got my magickal ass kicked in the best way by an American, philosophized with a New-Zealander, and jammed on the electric guitar along with a Canadian!

Awesome.

Simply awesome.

ZOE7: Mind Machines, Entheogens, and the Expansion of Consciousness”

Podcast 038 - Mind Machines, Entheogens, and the Expansion of Consciousness”

Zoe7 is a multi-dimensional synergy personality cluster who inhabits the body and mind of consciousness researcher, Joseph Marti. (The other five personalities are: Max McCullan, Ebhrious, Jiebro, Kzark Prestidius, and Lee Steel.) His book, Into The Void Exploring Consciousness, Hyperspace and Beyond Using Brain Technology, Psychedelics and Altered-Mind States, depicts Marti’s experiments with mind machines, entheogens, and psychological time travel, how the Zoe7 cluster came to be, as well as new theories on parallel universes and probable Earths, the mechanics of reality and existence, and the mind of God.

From Psychedelic Salon

disclaimer: combining psychedelics is not advised for the beginners or intermediates, and should be done only a few times a year. I've talked to one person who claimed his entire "lightbody was burned up" after doing much (insane) combining and his immune system was so out of wack the doctors didn't know what to do with him.

Finnegans Wake is like a linguistic drug

RAW warned me about how awesome this book by James Joyce was. He even wrote a book about it: "Coincidance - a Head Test". Can't wait to check that out once I finish the original.

My local library has a screwy search function in their computer database and I didn't find the English version books of him on the puter, but only the dutch. I hate reading classics translated, they are poor man's versions. Especially the translated Finnegans Wake, while skimming through it, it seemed to me like some Joyce-lover's fetish to translate an unreadable book and making it even more incomprehensible while draining the fun out of it. I mean this book made less sense to me in "my native language" than in "English", ha! But then I went oldschool and just looked in the English novel section shelves and simply found it. Here's to technology!

Joyce's language is amazing, he spent most of his adult life in many parts of Europe and I certainly recognize a lot of influences from other languages and dialects including occasional dutch/flemish, and this must be the best book a player-with-language like me could ever hope to find, oh universe why did ye wait so long to share this with me. And the universe replyeth: "all ye had to do was go to the English novel section, oh and fuck computers, teehee."

From the introduction, first line:
The first thing to say about Finnegans wake is that it is, in an important sense, unreadable. In order to pay it the attention it so impertinently and endlessly demands, the reader must forego most of the conventions about reading and about the language that constitute him/her as a reader. The advantage to be gained from doing so is considerable; the conventions survive but they are less likely thereafter to dwindle into assumptions about what reading or writing is.
(and this is followed by 43 pages of much less interesting mental masturbation, which I gladly ignore cause I don't need someone to tell me how to fucking interpret something, the book begins:)

Nooooooooo!

Cool verb

To disabuse: free somebody (from an erroneous belief).
Warning: the attempt can be dangerous, and mostly futile.

Fire!

Yesterday at around midnight. There was shouting in the street. Looked out the window, suspected it was a drunk who was just shouting incoherently (which was the case). He kept at it though, so I looked again. Oh shit! The building across the street is on fire. Not a big fire yet but through the metal gate I could see it burning. Hey what's that I see, MY CAR IS PARKED IN FRONT OF IT! :p I've never been downstairs so quick lol. I quickly moved it so the fire trucks could get closer to it and you know, don't break my windows to put their hose through (that wasn't fun to type, lol). They were already arriving, 3 firetrucks, the sight of which made me smile like a little boy. The fire was out immediately, either it was an electrical malfunction of some sort or more nefarious stuff. Cause the cops were called and took pictures and investigated the scene along with some fire marshalls for at least an hour. That's all for regional news, back to you Kathy.
