Do schools today kill creativity? (Ken Robinson, TEDTalks)

Education guru Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining (and profoundly moving) case for creating an education system that nurtures creativity, rather than undermining it. Sir Ken Robinson is author of "Out of Our Minds: Learning to be Creative," and a leading expert on innovation in education and business. (Recorded February, 2006 in Monterey, CA.) Forbidden Library: Censorship Quotes

From ForbiddenLibrary.com: Banned and Challenged Books: Censorship Quotes

"If your library is not 'unsafe', it probably isn't doing its job."
-- John Berry, Iii, Library Journal, October 1999

"Without free speech no search for truth is possible... no discovery of truth is useful... Better a thousandfold abuse of free speech than denial of free speech. The abuse dies in a day, but the denial slays the life of the people, and entombs the hope of the race."
-- Charles Bradlaugh

"There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them. "
-- Joseph Alexandrovitch Brodsky, 1991, Russian-American poet, b. St. Petersburg and exiled 1972 (1940-1996)

"Everyone is in favor of free speech. Hardly a day passes without its being extolled, but some people's idea of it is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone else says anything back, that is an outrage."
-- Winston Churchill

"You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police. Yet in their hearts there is unspoken - unspeakable! - fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts! Words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home, all the more powerful because they are forbidden. These terrify them. A little mouse - a little tiny mouse! -of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic."
-- Winston Churchill

"The fact is that censorship always defeats its own purpose, for it creates, in the end, the kind of society that is incapable of exercising real discretion..."
-- Henry Steel Commager

"Burning is no answer."
-- Camille Desmoulins' reply to Robespierre, January 7, 1794, on burning his newspaper, Le Vieux Cordelier

"If librarianship is the connecting of people to ideas – and I believe that is the truest definition of what we do – it is crucial to remember that we must keep and make available, not just good ideas and noble ideas, but bad ideas, silly ideas, and yes, even dangerous or wicked ideas."
-- Graceanne A. Decandido

"Don't join the book burners. Don't think you are going to conceal thoughts by concealing evidence that they ever existed."
-- Dwight D. Eisenhower, speech at Dartmouth College, June 14, 1953

"Every burned book enlightens the world."
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

"This is slavery, not to speak one's thought."
-- Euripides, Greek tragic poet (480 or 485 B.C. - 406 B.C)

"If the human body's obscene, complain to the manufacturer, not me."
-- Larry Flynt

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
-- Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759

"If all printers were determined not to print anything till they were sure it would offend nobody, there would be very little printed."
-- Benjamin Franklin, 1730

"Books won't stay banned. They won't burn. Ideas won't go to jail. In the long run of history, the censor and the inquisitor have always lost. The only sure weapon against bad ideas is better ideas. The source of better ideas is wisdom. The surest path to wisdom is a liberal education."
-- Alfred Whitney Griswold, Essays on Education

"[O]ne man's vulgarity is another's lyric."
-- John Marshall Harlan, Supreme Court justice, 1971

"Where they have burned books, they will end in burning human beings."
-- Heinrich Heine

"I cannot and will not cut my conscience to fit this year's fashions."

"To prohibit the reading of certain books is to declare the inhabitants to be either fools or slaves."
-- Claude Adrien Helvetius, De l'Homme, Vol. I, sec. 4

"The sooner we all learn to make a decision between disapproval and censorship, the better off society will be... Censorship cannot get at the real evil, and it is an evil in itself."
-- Granville Hicks (1901-1982)

"Fear of corrupting the mind of the younger generation is the loftiest form of cowardice."
-- Holbrook Jackson

"Did you ever hear anyone say 'That work had better be banned because I might read it and it might be very damaging to me'?"
-- Joseph Henry Jackson

"Civil government cannot let any group ride roughshod over others simply because their consciences tell them to do so."

-- Eugene Gladstone O'Neill, American playwright (1888-1953)

"All of us can think of a book... that we hope none of our children or any other children have taken off the shelf. But if I have the right to remove that book from the shelf - that work I abhor - then you also have exactly the same right and so does everyone else. "All these people talk so eloquently about getting back to good old-fashioned values. Well, as an old poop I can remember back to when we had those old-fashioned values, and I say let's get back to the good old-fashioned First Amendment of the good old-fashioned Constitution of the United States -- and to hell with the censors! International Visitor Leadership Program

How long can the rigged game of politics continue with information like this coming out, well long because not enough care to learn it (:p). Here is another blatant display of a global effort for a New World Order: A US Program called the International Visitor Leadership Program which of course started with Nelson Rockefeller to train world leaders:

The International Visitor Leadership Program annually brings to the United States approximately 5,000 foreign nationals from all over the world to meet and confer with their professional counterparts and to experience America firsthand. The visitors, who are selected by American Foreign Service Officers overseas, are current or potential leaders in government, politics, the media, education, labor relations, the arts, business and other fields.

Among the thousands of distinguished individuals who have participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program since its inception more than five decades ago are more than 200 current and former Chiefs of State, 1,500 cabinet-level ministers, and many, many other distinguished leaders from the public and private sectors.

Just some of the alumni: Margaret Thatcher (turbo bitch & Reagan puppet), Tony Blair & Gordon Brown (any doubt left of their puppet-hood?), Guy Verhofstadt (former Belgian prime minister, aka Baby-Thatcher, hmm!), Nicolas Sarkozy (French President who incited the Paris Riots), Jan Peter Balkenede (aka Harry Potter, Belgian big mouth minister of foreign affairs and fellow NWO puppet Karel De Gucht said "Balkenende is a mix of Harry Potter and a petty rigid bourgeois mentality". It's just a game. Several attempts have been made to popularise Balkenende's image. During the 2006 election campaign, the political youth organisation CDJA created special T-shirts with the prime minister's face turned into Che Guevara. - no shame), Felipe de Jesus Calderon Hinojosa (Mexican puppet president, will be no trouble to form the North American Union), Marius Job Cohen (Amsterdam mayor, getting rid of legal prostitution there by taking on... the landlords) and many others.

I used to be a mech soldier but I didn't respect orders
I had to step forward, tell them this ain't for us

I want yall to meet deltron zero, and automator

Del I'm feeling like a ghost in a shell
I wrote this in jail playing host to a cell
for the pure verbal,
they said my sentance was equivalent to murder
just another hurdle, I bounced through a portal
I knew they had the mindstate of mere mortals
my ears morphed to receptors to catch ya
every word about gravity control
and the families they hold for handsome ransoms
on the run with a handgun blast bioforms, I am more

through centuries a hip hop legacy, megaspeed
hyperwarp to automator's crib and light the torch
they can't fight the force,

Daily Dedroidify: Adyashanti

Daily Dedroidify: Adyashanti

Born as Steven Gray, Adyashanti studied Zen for 14 years under the guidance of his Zen teacher Arvis Joen Justi. Arvis was a student of Taizan Maezumi Roshi of the Zen Center of Los Angeles before he requested that she teach. Adyashanti was regularly sent by Arvis to Zen sesshins, where he also studied under Jakusho Kwong Roshi of the San Francisco Zen Center.

At age 25 he began experiencing a series of transformative spiritual awakenings and eventually Bodhi, better known as enlightenment in the west. His teachings and basic world view suggest nondualism and thus teaches the liberation of beings from the illusion of separation, also known as maya (illusion). This is a classic eastern ideology familiar to both Buddhism and Hinduism.

The basic concept of this ideology is that humans tend to identify with a sense of self that is essentially not real, or sometimes called empty. The Buddha called this idea no-self, or anatta. Suffering is thus said to be caused by the belief in a separate self that seems to be divided from the world. If someone was to realize that they, as an individually isolated self, was not real, but that there is only one being, known as Buddha-nature in Buddhism or Brahman in Advaita Vedanta, then they would be awakened to the true nature of their being, oneness. To have such an awakening is to realize that there is no me and no other, there is only one. One being, one universe, one everything. Suffering, however, does not necessarily end here. After an awakening it is suggested that there is often a long process of embodiment where the old beliefs of the body and mind, sometimes called samskaras, gradually yield to the new understanding of one's true nature. Spontaneous Awakening and Falling Away are two great audiobooks I recommend.

Adyashanti: What is Enlightenment?

Adyashanti Quotes
"...In the end spirituality is not about watching the breath. It's about waking up from the dream of separateness to the truth of unity."

"There is only life living itself, life seeing itself, life hearing itself, life meeting itself as each moment."

"The proof that there was something wrong was that I wasn't spiritually awakened. If there was nothing wrong then I would be spiritually awakened... Little did I know that the whole sense that there was something wrong was being totally grasped by the clutches of ego, that was ego. There was somehow something deficient, that idea itself was ego and had led to innumerable egoic episodes. Egocentered narratives in the novel of my life. Even with the sense of neutrality there was this unconscious thread that there was something wrong... And if there's a definition of ego, there's one definition of ego that has some real truth to it, it is: there's something wrong...
I'm not awake, I'm not spiritually enlightened, because there's something wrong. if there wasn't something wrong I would be enlightened you see. So this idea, this felt experience, actually is a big part of what ego is you see. Cause if there's nothing wrong, all the self-contradiction just falls away. Which is of course what it does when we awaken to our true nature. And we see from the eyes of spirit rather than from the eyes of mind. From the eyes of spirit there is nothing wrong. There is nothing wrong with you, with them. This was quite a surprise, there was actually nothing wrong." (Falling Away)

Synchromystic Goodies

Aferrismoon has an amazing roundup of a recent Lost episode Wheel meet again eyes cold in Alice. Celtic Rebel has an inspiring post up on Intercising the Soul. And thanks to CR I got introduced to the great blog Mercurial Talismans, check out another mind control related music video analysis. PseudOccult Media talks about fembots and mind control in Feel Different: #1 Vodka of 2033: Put a Fembot in the White House.

Royksopp - What Else Is There?

Royksopp - What Else Is There?

Another superb song resonating Mind Control. In the video we see the singer floating surreal as if her life is a dream, we see floating houses like in the Wizard of Oz another mind control favorite. A sitting dog which doesn't budge representing the obedient pet, shadow work. More alternate reality symbolized by white blood marking the road. Displacement. Biting from the apple as fairy tales are another form of mind control. She's looking at a different version of herself across the table and holding her later. In the end the apple turns hairy and the video closes with floating houses, maybe representing the different forced personalities.

As for the lyrics, the flashlights, nightmares and sudden explosions say a lot. The roads are getting nearer, we (my personalities) cover distance but not together (as they are shut off from each other). I don't know what more to ask for, says the mind controlled slave "happy" with what she's got, not knowing anything else. It's about you and the Sun, well that's pretty blatant. The story of my maker what I have and ache for, I mean shit, that's over the top blatant. A golden ear, absorbing all put into her. If I am the storm and the wonder, the personality that is meant to rise above is portrayed as better than what was. There is no room where I can go, out of fear or out of incapability they are unable to see the trauma based memories. You have secrets too, probably about the handlers or simply redeeming herself. I was given just one wish, who knows how some are lured into this BS. Here are the lyrics:

It was me on that road
But you couldn`t see me
Too many lights out, but nowhere near here

It was me on that road
Still you couldn`t see me
And then flashlights and explosions

Roads are getting nearer
We cover distance but not together
I am the storm and I am the wonder
And the flashlights, nigthmares
And sudden explosions

I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish

It's about you and the sun
A morning run
The story of my maker
What I have and what I ache for

I`ve got a golden ear
And cut and I spear
What else is there?
Roads are getting nearer
We cover distance still not together

If I am the storm if I am the wonder
Will I have flashlights, nightmares, sudden explosions

There is no room where I can go and
You`ve got secrets too

I don`t know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish

Daily Dedroidify: Lateral Thinking

Daily Dedroidify: Lateral Thinking

Lateral thinking is a term coined by Edward de Bono, a Maltese psychologist, physician, and writer. He defines it as a technique of problem solving by approaching problems indirectly at diverse angles
instead of concentrating on one approach at length.

Vertical thinking is digging the same hole deeper.
Lateral thinking is trying again elsewhere.

"We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." Albert Einstein

"Traditional thinking is all about 'what is;' Future thinking will also need to be about what can be." Edward deBono

Tool - Lateralus

With my feet upon the ground I move myself between the sounds
and open wide to suck it in, I feel it move across my skin
I'm reaching up and reaching out
I'm reaching for the random or whatever will bewilder me
whatever will bewilder me
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been
Spiral out!
Keep going!

Radical Change Group: 8 Circuit Brain Model, part 3 - conversations with Antero Alli

Third & final part of the Radical Change Group conversations with Antero Alli:

This series of conversations is on the topic called the 8 Circuit Brain model. It is something that Timothy Leary first brought into the western consciousness. Later, Robert Anton Wilson in his book Prometheus Rising gave it a more wide spread appeal, and Antero in his book AngelTech provided a more hands-on approach to the same model.

This conversation covers the following topics:

  • Timothy Leary, Robert Anton Wilson, and Antero Alli - comparing approaches
  • Language as a magical act - evoking experiences through the use of language
    • Writing of Robert Anton Wilson
  • Interactions of lower and upper circuits
    • 1 & 5: anchor / stabilize your survival needs before you can safely experience bliss, and experience it longer. Get high, but remember to pay rent and stuff the fridge.
    • Each upper circuit contains a specific shock to the system. The shock of circuit 5 is the shock of ecstasy. Circuit 6 - the shock of freedom.
    • 2 & 6: develop emotional connections before opening up circuit six. Vision without compassion is cruelty.
    • 3 & 7: the rational mind has a need to come up with new words and symbols to convey the experience of the shock of unity of the 7th circuit.

New Habits

As I need to straighten out a lot of aspects of my offline-life, I'm lessening my dedication to this blog. There will still be sporadic posts though nothing is for certain.

Mind Control Themes and Programming Triggers in Movies

As promised in the music vid post, here's the article: "Mind Control Themes and Programming Triggers in Movies" from In2Worlds.net (featuring analysis of the movies Labyrinth, The Manchurian Candidate, Fight Club, Eyes Wide Shut, V For Vendetta, Mulholland Drive, The Game, Stay, Total Recall, Vanilla Sky, The Matrix trilogy, and others). It will explain a lot through movies making it recognizable, easy and fast to learn.

This is a long but fascinating article, if you want more information you can check out The Truth About the Entertainment Industry by Wes Penre. You can download the linked book Chasing Phantoms by Carissa Conti. The book Unshackled by former Mind Control victim Kathleen Sullivan is available on googlebooks to read online. And earlier posted book The Illuminati Formula Used to Create an Undetectable Total Mind Controlled Slave by Cisco Wheeler and Fritz Springmeier.

Thanks to PseudOccult media for all of this!

School of Fish - Three Strange Days

School of Fish - Three Strange Days

This Mind Control related music video includes Masonic checkered floors, pillars, alternate realities, displacement, windows and doors. Karma, if that flawed concept exists (to which I'm open to, I freaking hope it does as I see little or no justice - just ice - in this reality), is a bitch as the singer of this band was rewarded with testicular cancer and instead of winning the Tour de France died instead at age 32. I will have post(s) explaining more about mind control later today. Here are the lyrics, I won't explain them as I find it pretty blatant enough to grasp right away and the article later will be much more clear. Tomorrow I will analyze another song's music video and lyrics extensively though making much more clear to the beginners. (of which I am one too!).

For three strange days
I had no obligations
My mind was a blur
I did not know what to do
I think I lost myself
When I lost my motivation
Now I'm walking 'round the city
Just waiting to come to
For three strange...

For three strange days
I couldn't put a smile on my face
So they dressed me up in all of their clothes
And took me somewhere else
Johnny Clueless was there
With his simulated wood grain
So I pulled up a chair
And started drinking by myself
For three strange...

I've got to make it through
No matter what it takes
Oh I've got to make it through
These strange days

I lay down for a while
And I woke up on the ocean
Floating on my back
And staring at the gray
It was completely still
Except the pounding of my heart
Bringing me back to life
From three strange days
Three strange...
Three strange days
Three strange days

Secret Service Provides Free Publicity For Controversial Art

Would you have sex with her? Neither would Bill.

The NYPD and the Secret Service shut down an art exhibition across the street from the New York Times building earlier this morning. The show's title was "The Assassination of Hillary Clinton/The Assassination of Barack Obama" This is today's "Thing most assured of getting in the tabloids tomorrow." The artist, Yazmany Arboleda, says his project is really about the media—he's definitely good at getting media attention, at least. He's even set up a website for each candidate's assassination (uh, in the media).

Pink Floyd - Shine on You Crazy Diamond

Remember when you were young?
You shined like the sun...

Syd Barret was one of the founding geniuses of Pink Floyd, If the US government didn't outlaw research on LSD and other hallucinogens, and spread real info instead of disinfo, maybe Syd and a lot of other youths could have learned about real reality instead of losing grip on this one.

Floating World Web of Terence McKenna

Radical Change Group: The 8 Circuit Brain Model, part 2 - conversations with Antero Alli

The 2nd part of this conversation covers the following topics:

* Circuit 3: symbolic-conceptual intelligence
o Signs of getting stuck in circuit 3: "parroting", quoting other sources, but not having it come from you. Stuck at absorbtion, without proper integration.
o The aim of 3rd circuit is communication - real communication, making you think.
o Being logical is not the same as thinking
* Circuit 4: ability to get along with people
o People are unpredictable, for the most part. Ability to live with this unpredictability
o Confidence of C-4 is whether you are likable
o The vehicle for C-4: the ego personality
o Annoyance as an indicator of unfulfilled needs / points of growth
* Circuit 5: somatic intelligence; somatic opening to present time, living in the present, opening to all 5 senses.
o Like circuit 1, only with awareness. Getting high.
o Various practices can do it (meditation, etc.). If you live long enough, it tends to open up eventually, like any other circuit.
o Charisma: transmission of integrated circuit 5. Certain amount of performance on stage produces charisma.
* Circuit 6:
o The central nervous system becomes self-aware.
o The energy body / double / aura
o Chakras
* Circuit 7: Mytho-poetic, genetic intelligence
o This is where things become genuinely weird
o Existing conditions that are shared among the immediate family members
* Circuit 8: non-local
o Out of body experiences, near-death experiences
o Finding non-locality in your experience, beyond the confines of time and space
o What Antero calls "Void"
o Connections between circuits 1-5, 2-6, 3-7, 4-8

What Drug Should I Try Quiz

George Harrison

"It is one of our perennial problems, whether there is actually a God. From the Hindu point of view each soul is divine. All religions are branches of one big tree. It doesn't matter what you call Him just as long as you call. Just as cinematic images appear to be real but are only combinations of light and shade, so is the universal variety a delusion. The planetary spheres, with their countless forms of life, are naught but figures in a cosmic motion picture. One's values are profoundly changed when he is finally convinced that creation is only a vast motion picture and that not in, but beyond, lies his own ultimate reality."

Daily Dedroidify: Ica Stones: Encyclopedia of Ancient Knowledge?

Daily Dedroidify: Ica Stones: Encyclopedia of Ancient Knowledge?

In the town of Ica, Peru there is a unique collection of over 11,000 stones (with much more known to exist) that were collected, organized, and analyzed by the late Dr. Javier Cabrera Darquea. His home has become a museum for these strange artifacts, which are engraved with scenes of an ancient people, and are believed to be an encyclopedia of ancient knowledge. Amazingly, some of the (series of) scenes show things which are wholly anachronistic, including man interacting with dinosaurs, advanced technology, performing complex medical procedures (brain surgeries, heart transplants, genetic experimentation, etc.), flying machines, androgynous creatures, depictions of the Earth's continents as they were millions of years in the past...

How Advanced?
The stones depict a means of overcoming rejection of organs that are just now being utilized by modern medicine. Shown in a series of carvings are the isolation and extraction of cellular material in a pregnant woman's placenta with the reintroduction into the transplant patient to eliminate the possibility of rejection. Artificial life support systems are featured using an unknown energy that seems to be conveyed through the surgeons themselves. There is work with genetic codes and the prolongation of life. Blood vessels are shown being reconnected via re-absorption tubes utilizing the natural regeneration of cells. There are descriptions of cesarean section with acupuncture as a form of anesthesia.

Label everything we can't explain as a hoax!
An unfortunate branding of the stones as a hoax early on has dissuaded what little genuine scientific curiousity made it past the barriers of the status quo. However, it is the opinion of Dr. Cabrera and others that the stones are indeed genuine, and that their antiquity is proof of a previously unknown ancient civilization whose existance has been lost to history. All that remains is a record of their knowledge, carved in stone (the only medium that could survive for thousands of years). If the message of the stones can be fully deciphered and accepted, it will change our understanding of ancient man, and re-write the history books in a big way.

Because they are rocks and contain no organic material, Carbon-14 dating cannot be used. The stones themselves are composed of andesite, a very hard mineral that would make etching quite difficult with primitive tools. They are covered with a natural varnish that is created by bacteria over thousands of years. The etching is made by scraping away this dark varnish to reveal the lighter mineral beneath. According to some reports, examinations of the stones show that the grooves of the etchings also bear traces of additional varnish, however, indicating that they are very old.

Radical Change Group & Antero Alli: 8 Circuit Brain Model

Radical Change Group: The 8 Circuit Brain Model, Part 1 - Conversations with Antero Alli

Great first part of a podcast trilogy, will be posting the other parts tomorrow and the day after to hopefully tune in the most listeners. Featuring a great intro to the 8 Circuit model, the first 2 circuits and much more. Antero Alli, the author of Angel Tech, is such a great resource for the consciousness community, and so is Radical Change Group, check out their huge free archive of podcasts on Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Language, Business, Leadership, Mythology, and Spirituality. Subscribe to their podcasts here!

From the site: Today we are starting an exciting new series of conversations with an author, a ritualist, a film maker, a dramatist, and astrologer, and a theater director Antero Alli. These series of conversations are near and dear both to our hearts, and to the work that Antero does.

Antero Alli was born in 1952 in Helsinki, Finland. He is an author of such books as AngelTech, Towards an Archeology of the Soul, Astrologic, the Vertical Oracle, and the Akashic Record Player. His deep background in theatre and paratheatre has resulted in numerous original performance works since 1977, and he’s currently the artistic director of ParaTheatrical ReSearch - a Berkeley based group of trained physical performers exploring asocial ritual dynamics. Since 1991 Antero has been writing, directing and producing his own films which include 6 feature functions, 3 paratheatre video documents, and about 20 short works.

This series of conversations is on the topic called the 8 Circuit Brain model. It is something that Timothy Leary first brought into the western consciousness, and later Robert Anton Wilson in his book Prometheus Rising gave it a more wide spread appeal. It was further developed by Antero in his book “Angel Tech”.

This conversation covers the following topics:
  • History and introduction to the 8-circuit brain model
  • Absorb, Integrate, Transmit: Intelligence Increase
  • Embracing humility, flaws & paradox on the human journey
  • Circuit 1: Bio-Survival intelligence
  • Circuit 2: Emotional-Territorial intelligence
  • Direct experience
  • Meeting the needs of the second circuit

Daily Dedroidify: Your Shadow

The Shadow as defined by Psychologist Carl Gustav Jung
46 & 2 chromosomes explained by Drunvalo Melchizedek (Flower of Life books)

"Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves."
Carl Gustav Jung

"There is no coming to consciousness without pain."
Carl Gustav Jung

The shadow or "shadow aspect" is a part of the unconscious mind which is mysterious and often disagreeable to the conscious mind, but which is also relatively close to the conscious mind. It may be (in part) one's link to animal life, which is superseded during early childhood by the conscious mind; afterwards it comes to contain thoughts that are repressed by the conscious mind. According to Jung, the shadow is instinctive and irrational, but is not necessarily evil even when it might appear to be so. It can be both ruthless in conflict and empathetic in friendship. It is important as a source of hunches, for understanding of one's own more inexplicable actions and attitudes (and of others' reactions), and for learning how to accept and integrate the more problematic or troubling aspects of one's personality. (from the wiki)
"We reproduce catastrophe because we ourselves are traumatized - both as a species and individually, beginning at birth. Because we are wounded, we have put up psychic defenses against reality and have become so cut off from direct participation in the multidimensional wilderness in which we are embedded that all we can do is to navigate our way cautiously through a humanly designed day-to-day substitute world of symbols - a world of dollars, minutes, numbers, images and words that are constantly being manipulated to wring the most possible profit from every conceivable circumstance. The body and spirit both rebel."
David Watson (The Pathology of Civilization) If you imagine someone who is brave enough to withdraw all his projections, then you get an individual who is conscious of a pretty thick shadow. Such a man has saddled himself with new problems and conflicts. He has become a serious problem to himself, as he is now unable to say that they do this or that, they are wrong, and they must be fought against. He lives in the "House of the Gathering." Such a man knows that whatever is wrong in the world is in himself, and if he only learns to deal with his own shadow he has done something real for the world. He has succeeded in shouldering at least an infinitesimal part of the gigantic, unsolved social problems of our day.
Carl Gustav Jung: "Psychology and Religion" (1938). In CW 11: Psychology and Religion: West and East. P.140

"I have always believed that each of us is responsible for doing her own emotional homework, that the process of facing down our ghosts is our small, attainable contribution to a kinetic process that holds the potential for healing the world. And why not? After all, the opposite is true: History has proven that people who are unwilling to catch and release their individual sadnesses, disappointments, and hidden motivations have compensated by wreaking havoc on the world. Good and evil lie within each of us, and every day we choose which potential to fill."
Deborah Daw Heffernan

"Everyone carries a Shadow, and the less it is embodied in the individual's4 conscious life, the blacker and denser it is. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious."
Carl Gustav Jung

"The gigantic catastrophes that threaten us today are not elemental happenings of a physical or biological order, but psychic events. To a quite terrifying degree we are threatened by wars and revolutions which are nothing other than psychic epidemics. At any moment several millions of human beings may be smitten with a new madness, and then we shall have another world war or devastating revolution. Instead of being at the mercy of wild beasts, earthquakes, landslides, and inundations, modern man is battered by the elemental forces of his own psyche."
Carl Gustav Jung

The shadow is the most clearly recognizable of the characteristic archetypes. Becoming conscious of your shadow means accepting that the dark aspects of your own personality really exist. This acceptance forms the basis of all self-knowledge, and usually finds a lot of resistance. The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. Through a thorough investigation of the dark character aspects and inadequacies respectively, that form the shadow together, seems that these posess a an emotional nature or a certain autonomy. That's why they have an obsessing influence, and we can even become posessed by it. Emotion is namely not an action we perform, but an occasion that happens to us. Affects or emotion usually show up on those matters we are least adjusted to. At the same time they reveal the reason of the lesser adjustment, namely a inadequacy and a lower level of the personality at that specific point. On this deeper level with it's barely or not at all controlled emotions we behave more or less as a primitive human. We are then not only a victim of our emotions without any will of our own, but also remarkably little capable of a moral judgement.
While now the shadow with the help of insight and good will can be fitted somewhat into the conscious personality, there are also, as experience learns us, certain traits that stubbornly resist any moral control, and seem as good as uninfluencable. In the rule these resistances are weaved in with projections, that are not recognized as such. Insight in the own projections means a moral achievement that surpasses the common average. While the characterisstics ofthe shadow can be recognized without too much trouble as properties belonging to one's own personality, insight aswell as will are lacking with the confrontation of the projections. The origin of the emotions that guide the projection seem without a doubt to rest with the other (on whom one projets).
The projecting is namely as known not the conscious human, but the unconscious. A projection is encountered - not made by ourselves. The effect of projections is the isolation of the human his environment, seeing as he does not have a real realtionship with it, but only an illusionary. Projections change the environment in its own, but unknown insight. They lead because of this in last instance to an auto-erotic or autistic situation, wherein one dreams a world - the reality of the world however remains unreachable. The feeling of incompleteness and the even worse feeling of sterility that are the effect of this, are in their turn again explained through projection as evilwillingness of the environment, and thanks to this vicious cycle the isolation increases. The more projections are shoved between the subject and his environment, the harder it becomes for the I to see through his illusions. It is often tragic to see how a man, often in a very transparent manner, ruins his own life and that of others, while he can't see for all the money of hte world that the entire mess came from the greatest part out of himself, and again and again is fed and maintained by him. That is by the way not the not the work of his consciousness, cause that complains and curses about a unfaithfull world, that keeps retreating itself. The guilty is on the contrary an unconsicous factor, that spins world and self-hiding illusions. This fantasy world is indeed a cocoon that causes the concerning human to be totally encapsulated.
The shadow can be seen through and realized with a little self-criticism easily - for as so far it is of a personal nature at least. In other words: It is in our capabilities to know the relative-evil of our nature."
Adapted from Carl Gustav Jung: "I and Self: The I - The self. Christ, a symbol of the self.

"When an inner situation is not made conscious, it appears outside as fate."
Carl Gustav Jung

"People will do anything, no matter how absurd to stop from facing their souls."
Carl Gustav Jung

"The foundation of all mental illness is the unwillingness to experience legitimate suffering."
Carl Gustav Jung

"All things appear and disappear because of the concurrence of causes and conditions. Nothing ever exists entirely alone; everything is in relation to everything else."

"Throughout the universe there's a network of wires stretching to infinity. The horizontal wires are placed in space; the vertical in time. Everywhere where these wires cross eachother, there's an individual. And every individual is a crystal bead. The big light of an Absolute Being enlightens and penetrates each crystal bead. And every crystal bead reflects not only the light of all other crystals in the network, but also every other reflection, from all corners of the Cosmos."

Dr. George W. Crile, of the Cleveland Laboratories announced that he had disovered at the heart of every living organism a tiny nucleus of energy, all aglow, with temperatures ranging from 3000 to 6000 degrees of heat, which he called "radiogens" or "hot points" precisely akin to the radiant energy of solar matter. He affirmed, that a tiny particle of the sun's power and radiance was lodged within the heart of every organic unit.

"Photons come out of nowhere, they cannot be stored, they can barely be pinned down in time, and they have no home in space whatsoever. That is, light occupies no volume and has no mass. The similarity between a thought and a photon is very deep. Both are born in the region beyond space and time where nature controls all processes in that void which is full of creative intelligence."

"Never give children a chance of imagining that anything exists in isolation. Make it plain from the very beginning that all living is relationship. Show them relationships in the woods, in the fields, in the ponds and streams, in the village and in the country around it. Rub it in."
Aldous Huxley, Island

The Butterfly Effect: The phrase refers to the idea that a butterfly's wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that ultimately cause a tornado to appear (or, for that matter, prevent a tornado from appearing). The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of the system, which causes a chain of events leading to large-scale phenomena. Had the butterfly not flapped its wings, the trajectory of the system might have been vastly different. Hence everything is interconnected.

Now we are one in everlasting peace!

Be a world child form a circle.
Before we all... go under.

For that which happens to the sons of men happens to animals. Even one thing happens to them: As the one dies, so the other dies. Yes, they have all one spirit; and man has no pre-eminence over the animals: for all is vanity.

"The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us."

"Everything is right for me, which is right for you, O Universe. Nothing for me is too early or too late, which comes in due time for you. Everything is fruit to me which your seasons bring, O Nature. From you are all things, in you are all things, to you all things return."
Marcus Aurelius

"The day of days, the great day of the feast of life, is that in which the inward eye opens to the Unity in things, to the omnipresence of law; -- sees that what is must be, and ought to be, or is the best. This beatitude dips from on high down on us, and we see. It is not in us so much as we are in it."
Ralph Waldo Emerson (fate)

"So what I think we could aim for in the way of human civilization and culture would be a system in which we are all highly aware of our existing interconnection and unity with the whole domain of nature, and therefore do not have to go to all sorts of wild extremes to find that union."
Alan Watts

"Underneath the superficial self, which pays attention to this and that, there is another self more really us than I. And the more you become aware of the unknown self, if you become aware of it,
the more you realize that it is inseparably connected with everything else that is."
Alan Watts

"This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does it to himself."
Chief Seattle

"No man is an Island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine own were; any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankind; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee."
John Donne

"When Euclid was inventing his geometry, which has become the basis for man-made forms, the Greek reason was already corrupted by Aristotle's analytical and classificatory approach to the world. With Socrates and Plato the Greek world is still held in unity and harmony. With Aristotle, we begin to divide and chop and atomize - put things into separate compartments, where they are identified by special labels called definitions. Euclid and his geometry only reinforces the tendency to atomism, separatism, thinking in neat logical categories--here are the axioms, here are the rules of derivation, here are the theorems derived from the axioms through the accepted rules of derivation. All very neatly and rigorously defined. A triumph of the rational Western mind which is going to depend so much on the power of formal reasoning, on the meaning of axioms which will become the ultimate bricks out of which other things are to be constructed."
Henryk Skolimowski

"I’m one of those crazy people who believes that all human beings share one consciousness. So if you‘re mean and evil to someone, you’re being evil to yourself. But I also believe in a lot of dumb shit like Bigfoot and UFO’s, so it’s tough to take me seriously. I just find it a little odd that the same government that denies the existence of UFO’s insists on sticking to the single bullet theory."
Joe Rogan

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death. Life is only a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves."

Philip K. Dick and the Illuminati

Philip K. Dick and the Illuminati:
Monday night he [Dick] called me and said that the night before - Sunday - he'd been smoking some marijuana that a visitor had left, and felt himself entering that by-now-familiar state in which he had visions (generally not dope-related - unless you count Vitamin C as dope), and he said, "I want to see God. Let me see you."

And then instantly, he told me, he was flattened by the most extreme terror he'd ever felt, and he saw the Ark of the Covenant, and a voice (Voice?) said, "You wouldn't come to me through logical evidence or faith or anything else, so I must convince you this way." The curtain of the Ark was drawn back, and he saw, apparently, a void and a triangle with an eye in it [emphasis added], staring straight at him. (How prosaically I put all this down, especially when I pretty much believe it's true!) Phil said he was on his hands and knees, in absolute terror, enduring the Beatific Vision from nine o'clock Sunday evening until 5 A.M. Monday. He said he was certain he was dying, and if he could have reached the telephone he'd have called the paramedics. The Voice told him, in effect, "You've managed to talk yourself into disbelieving everything else (more gentle and suited for human consumption) I let you see, but this you'll never be able to forget or adapt or misrepresent."

Phil said that during the ordeal he said, "I'll never do dope again!" and the Voice said, "That's not the issue."

Later in the article the author talks about Phil seeing the vesica pisces on a girl's pendant, the day after I read that passage for the first time in VALIS I synchronistically saw an otherwise unmarked car with the symbol on it.

Alex Grey: The Vast Expanse

I acknowledge the privilege of being alive in a human body at this moment, endowed with senses, memories, emotions, thoughts, and the space of mind in its wisdom aspect;

It is the prayer of my innermost being to realize my supreme identity in the liberated play of consciousness, the Vast Expanse; Now is the moment, Here is the place of Liberation;

Witness the contents of mind, the visions and sounds, the thoughts, as clouds passing through the Vast Expanse - the skylike nature of mind; The rootedness of Being is in emptiness, clarity and awareness: Unborn, unspoilt, stainlessly pure;

The infinite vibratory levels, the dimensions of interconnectedness are without end; There is nothing independent; All beings and things are residents in your awareness;

I subject my awareness to the perfection of being, the perfection of wisdom and perfection of love, all of these being co-present in the Vast Expanse; I share this panorama of Being and appreciate all I can share it with;

The seamless interweaving of awareness with each moment creates perfection wherever you go; That is why this teaching is admired by artists - they sense the correctness of the response to life as creative;

Life is infinite creative play; Enjoyment and participation in this creative play is the artist's profound joy; We coauthor every moment with universal creativity;

To bare our souls is all we ask, to give all we have to life and the beings surrounding us; Here the nature spirits are intense and we appreciate them, make offerings to them - these nature spirits who call us here - sealing our fate with each other, celebrating our love;

I am an intersecting kaleidoscope of Being in a rainbow refractive wave pattern: A corpuscle of light on the ocean; the transparency of my body with the rocks; sometimes the only way to summarize my feelings is to draw - to collapse the frenzy in my limbs enough to make a mark out of profound appreciation for my existence;

Share your presence with others, no boundaries, completely, openly, lovingly; Love is what makes us alive, that is why we feel so alive when we love; Service is being available to love; Life is the combustion of love; That we love ourselves here, that is the true magnificence in the mountains of being;

We are constantly drawing the line between love and not love - enter into the Nonduality Zone; All judgements dissolve in the Vast Expanse;

It's as though we are co-conspirators of consciousness - everyone, everywhere, everywhen, mixing up our openable minds; It's as though we could gather clouds in the sky and people into our lives; Like an eruption of consciousness, we discover the most important force is love;

Experience yourself as the Source and appreciate every moment as perfection; Sunrise - Sunset; Thank you, thank you, Creator, Profound unstoppable connectedness of all beings, Pattern to everything, most radical no-thing, the Vast Expanse;

Incredible pictures of one of Earth's last uncontacted tribes firing bows and arrows

Daily Mail: It is extraordinary to think that, in 2008, there remain about a hundred groups of people, scattered over the Earth, who know nothing of our world and we nothing of theirs, save a handful of brief encounters. (update: 1, 2)

The uncontacted tribes, which are located in the jungles of South America, New Guinea and a remote and the beautiful and remote North Sentinel island in the Indian Ocean all have one thing in common - they want to be left alone.

And for good reason. The history of contact, between indigenous tribes and the outside world, has always been an unhappy one.

Contact is usually a disaster for these remote tribespeople, who live a life probably unchanged for more than 10,000 years. Even if the loggers do not shoot them (which they often do) or force them off their land, diseases against which these isolated humans have no resistance typically wipe out half an uncontacted tribe's numbers in a year or two.

Ms Ross added: 'These pictures are further evidence that uncontacted tribes really do exist. The world needs to wake up to this, and ensure that their territory is protected in accordance with international law. Otherwise, they will soon be made extinct.'

Spin by Brian Springer

Spin by Brian Springer

Brian Springer examines media bias and spin during the 1992 election year. They still use the same tricks. The documentary captures the behind-the-scenes maneuverings of politicians and newscasters in the early 1990s. Decent candidate gets excluded like Ron Paul. Pat Robertson banters about "homos," Al Gore learns how to avoid abortion questions, George Bush talks to Larry King about halcyon, Larry King suggests to Bill Clinton that Ted Turner may "serve him." -- All presuming they're off camera. Composed of 100% unauthorized satellite footage, Spin is a surreal expose of media-constructed reality. (You can find it on YouTube too if Googlevideo is too slow.)

Man summons UFO on camera

Man summons UFO on camera

This is what Steven Greer & his people said they could do but didn't find necessary to get on tape lol. The vid is pretty damn cool though, I can't believe how old it is and that I haven't seen it before.

"What the flying saucers are doing is erroding faith in science, they are an antidote to the scientific paradigm that has evolved over the past 400 years and which has led us to the brink of global catastrophe."
Terence Mckenna

"The ufo is a mirage, being cast backward into time by the transcendental object at the end of time. (...) It's a compensatory image that haunts time because time is a kind of hologram, time is a fractal and fractal means that the same pattern is embedded again and again in a relationship of self-similarity. So because the transcendental object exists somewhere ahead of us in history there must be necessarily a tiny part of it somewhere nearby. And this is what the ufo is I think, and this is why nobody's ever gonna show you a chunk of it, and they're never gonna put an extraterrestrial on television, because it isn't that kind of a creature, it's a compensatory image from the end of time."
Terence McKenna

Daily Dedroidify: Piri Reis map

Daily Dedroidify: Piri Reis map

In 1929, a group of historians found an amazing map drawn on a gazelle skin, which showed continents people had never seen before! The map accurately depects longitude, something the Europeans were only capable of doing in the 18th century, and it is a 16th century map!

Research showed that it was a genuine document drawn in 1513 by Piri Reis, a famous admiral of the Turkish fleet in the sixteenth century. His passion was cartography. His high rank within the Turkish navy allowed him to have a privileged access to the Imperial Library of Constantinople. The Turkish admiral admits in a series of notes on the map that he compiled and copied the data from a large number of source maps, some of which dated back to the 4th century BC or earlier.

The Piri Reis map shows the western coast of Africa, the eastern coast of South America, and the northern coast of Antarctica. The northern coastline of Antarctica is perfectly detailed. The most puzzling however is not so much how Piri Reis managed to draw such an accurate map of the Antarctic region 300 years before it was discovered, but that the map shows the coastline under the ice. Geological evidence confirms that the latest date Queen Maud Land could have been charted in an ice-free state is 4000 BC! And we only know Queen Maud Land's true configuration since 1949! (adapted from World-Mysteries.com) ('Ik reis' means 'I travel' (verb) & 'reis' = 'journey' in dutch/flemish) (Again I'm not saying this is a conspiracy with this label, I'm hinting at a possibility, perhaps I should start a mystery label ;p)
