Red Ice Interview: Hijacking of Theosophy

Excellent Red Ice Creations interview with Michael Tsarion on the topic of the hijacking of Theosophy, founded by Helena Blavatsky. Thought it was good timing to counter some of the BS the dogmatic Christian-conspiracy-theory reality tunnel (CCT RT - which likes to confuse all occult symbolist deconstruction with an actual "religion" as the deconstruction of their religion is seen as a threat) are putting out there concerning the Zeitgeist and Zeitgeist Addendum documentaries. For some this may be preaching to the choir, but as this blog is visited by people with different reality tunnels some clarification can never hurt.
Theosophy is a philosophical system of religious (maybe spiritual is a better word, as I tend to associate the word "religion" not with any "divinity" but dogmatic belief systems) philosophy and metaphysics, it was - originally at least - nothing like a "religion" at all. The Interview talks about how the Theosophical society was hijacked and changed after Blavatsky's death by the likes of Annie Besant, C.W. Leadbeater, Alice Bailey...
Also mentioned on the other side are Rudolf Steiner, Krishnamurti (Christian conspiracy theory reality tunnel seems to love to ignore what's linked here), Osho, Aleister Crowley, Edward S. Lutton, etc. They also talk about the infiltration of other Secret Societies and some of the strategies behind the Bavarian Illuminati. Towards the end they talk about the diversity that one can encounter when researching everything from philosophy to conspiracy. Henrik also poses the question if modern truth movements like the "9/11 truth movement" also is in danger of being infiltrated by agents provocateur, or has that already happened?
I add the discordian saying: "We must stick apart!" No infiltration possible then. I posted this to clear some things up for beginning seekers, not to blindly defend the to me rather abstract Krishnamurti, or the to me unnecessary Theosophy movement (which helped lead to the New Age movement, which is supposed to be a decentralized western social and spiritual movement that seeks Universal Truth and the attainment of the highest individual human potential - though money, easy beliefs and a lack of skepticism; instead of openminded yet skeptical experimenting and knowing - seem to be more associated with it. Either way the point is never to blindly believe in someone else but to investigate and open your own potential) and its founder, though I liked the first volume of the Secret Doctrine as it was the first book to introduce me to deconstructing religious symbolism, but I did find it to be quite chaotic, the second volume didn't interest me very much at the time so I didn't get very far in that. Also see A comparison between H.P. Blavatsky & Alice Bailey: The Pseudo-Occultism of Alice Bailey (as the link to it on original Red Ice page is down).

To clarify: I'm not posting this to defend Theosophy or the New Age, as I'm not a fan of either. I'm posting this to clarify that the religious symbolist deconstruction in the first part of Zeitgeist 1 (Pharmacratic Inquisition excerpt) is not even Theosophy-related - as the CCT RT believes it is - but entirely separate from it. And that Krishnamurti's inclusion in Zeitgeist Addendum is even less Theosophy-related. So no freaking push for a one-world religion in either Zeitgeist. Duh. Captain Obvious, you poor fella, nobody likes you ;p

I wonder if it's time to recognise that no sides eXist. The Illuminati/Masons/NWO etc just seem to set up 'sides' within the psyche..........and then , sorry, but the classic > Look for infiltrators [ emphasis on Traitors, please] .
I mean hasn't the labelling of 'bloggers' already begun - stooges of this or thatness, 'pathological' etc.
The NWO etc need very little power, the 'sideyness' of humans will always initiate 'war'.
Does Hydrogen takes 'sides' or merely one's breath away

Well can't say that was unexpected. This was posted to debunk some unjust criticism towards the zeitgeist docus.

I felt the need to post this and will post one more debunking article of the Christian and Capitalist objections as there is little counter-weight in google searches - I'm referring to articles on Alex Jones his infowars.com and conspiracyarchive.com which have large audiences - and some seekers might start believing all the farfetched criticism as it's pretty incredible how far they take it.

I do agree one has to be careful with the language so I cleaned it up a bit. Can never be careful enough though and it's impossible to please everybody.

It's not about sidey-ness at all though but as I said clarifying things. Trying one's best to appeal to dogmatic people is basically futile, as long as the language is kept as non-confrontational as possible that's about the best you can do.

IMO the bloggers who engaged in the labelling were doing themselves a bigger disservice than the ones they accused. It seems to have ended though.

Hey D, don't 'be careful'. I think this bunking/debunking thing exists and perhaps helps chip away 'encrusted' beliefs. Th namecalling doesn't seem to help - unless we start a 'namecalling' competition.
I don't have a problem with the post, I was just picking up on some of the words used. The idea of 'infiltration' - personally I don't think this blog can be infiltrated due to it's generally open nature.

Stay free, stay independent. My attitude is the first order of all groups is to maintain themselves and then worry about truth, justice and all the rest of it much, much later. If the truth interferes with the group's survival- all principles go out the door. Which is why all organized religions and religious organizations are inherently corrupt.

And I do mean all, sir.

Aye, screw group think in all its forms. To truth! It's out there! (Outside of the group ;p)
