Weh-heh-hell, in the all-but-forgotten space opera, A Thousand Airplanes On The Roof, the whole idea of the alien Grays is that they have hive consciousness. So, too, did the late psychologist, Julian Jaynes, say that of Neolithic man's consciousness, which was the reason that he was able to accomplish such cyclopean tasks as building the peer-amids. Nifty.
