Destroy your ego & belief system (BS)

1. Never believe totally in anybody else's BS.
2. Never believe totally in your own BS.
Robert Anton Wilson

Osho: Anybody who gives you a belief system is your enemy

"Anybody who gives you a belief system is your enemy, because the belief system becomes the barrier for your eyes: you cannot see the truth. The very desire to find the truth disappears. But if all your belief systems are taken away from you, in the beginning certainly, it is bitter. I know the fear, the anxiety, that will surface immediately which you have been suppressing for millenia. But it is there, very alive, no God can destroy it. Only the search for truth and the experience of truth, NOT a belief is capable to heal all your wounds. To make you a whole being, and the whole person is the holy person to me."
Osho

"If all people learned to think in the non-aristotelian manner of quantum mechanics, the world would change so radically that most of what we call 'stupidity' and even a great deal of what we consider 'insanity' might disappear, and the 'intractable' problems of war, poverty and injustice would suddenly seem a great deal closer to solution."
Alfred Korzybski

"There are periods of history when the visions of madmen and dope fiends are a better guide to reality than the common-sense interpretation of data available to the so-called normal mind. This is one such period, if you haven't noticed already."
Robert Anton Wilson

RAW: Who is Robert Anton Wilson?

"Intelligence is the capacity to receive, decode and transmit information efficiently. Stupidity is blockage of this process at any point. Bigotry, ideologies etc. block the ability to receive; robotic reality-tunnels block the ability to decode or integrate new signals; censorship blocks transmission."
Robert Anton Wilson

"The map is not the territory."
Alford Korzybski

"DO NOT ADJUST YOUR MIND: IT IS REALITY THAT IS MALFUNCTIONING!"
Robert Anton Wilson

Terence McKenna: Culture is not your friend

"Culture is not your friend, it's an impediment to understanding what's going on. That's why to my mind the word cult and the word culture have a direct relationship to each other. Culture is a cult and if you feel revulsion at the thought of somebody offering to the great carrot, just notice that your own culture is an extremely repressive cult that leads to all kinds of humiliation and degradation, and automatic and unquestioned and unthinking behaviour.

I mean the American family is what keeps American psychotherapy alive and well. This is a cauldron for the production of neurosis.

Part of what psychedelics do, is they decondition you from cultural values. This is what makes it such a political hot potato, since all culture is a kind of congame, the most dangerous candy you can hand out is candy that makes people start questioning the rules of the game."
Terence McKenna

"All models are wrong but some are useful."
George Box

"Your beliefs can be like fences that surround you. You must first see them or you will not even realize that you are not free, simply because you will not see beyond the fences. They will represent the boundaries of your experience."
SETH / Jane Roberts

RAW explains Quantum Physics

"We can all see how other people's BS (belief system or bullshit :p) makes them blind and "stupid" at times, but we find it very hard to notice how our own BS is doing the same to us. This is what anthropologists call 'acculturalization.' Following Gurdjieff, I prefer to call it hypnosis... Every politician knows how to induce hypnosis, and very damned few peple on the whole planet know how to de-hypnotize themselves. The world is not governed by facts or logic. It is governed by BS (belief systems)."
Robert Anton Wilson

"We have always sought explanations when it was only representations that we could seek to invent."
Paul Valéry

"A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts. So he loses touch with reality, and lives in a world of illusion."
Alan Watts

Terence McKenna: Reclaim Your Mind

"This is, this is sh*tbrained... this kind of thinking."
Terence McKenna

"I don't believe anything I write or say. I regard belief as a form of brain damage, the death of intelligence, the fracture of creativity, the atrophy of imagination. I have opinions but no Belief System (B.S.)."
Robert Anton Wilson

"There is nothing permanent or compulsive in your system except what you believe to be so."
Moshe Feldenkrais

RAW: Real Reality

"Whenever people are certain they understand our peculiar situation here on this planet, it is because they have accepted a religious Faith or a secular Ideology (Ideologies are the modern form of Faiths) and just stopped thinking."
Robert Anton Wilson

"In religion and politics, people's beliefs and convictions are in almost every case gotten at second hand, and without examination."
Mark Twain

"All that is, is metaphor."
Noramn O. Brown, Closing Time

Antero Alli: Scapegoat the Mass Media

Many are the ways to scapegoat the mass media. For starters, turn off the TV. Break trance. Create your own media. Make trance. Produce more media than you're currently consuming. Reimagine everything you see on TV. Stop your cocooning. Get out into the streets again. Talk amongst yourselves. Listen to international news on a short-wave radio. Really listen to each other. Make a movie with your friends. Start a newsletter. Get your imaginations back. Take an artist out to lunch. Stop mainlining the online. Make real connections with people. Turn off the TV. Break trance. Make trance. Create your own media. Do it now. Imagination death precedes death of soul.

"(!Achtung!!! - Is Reality Distorting Your Ideals?)"
Antero Alli

"Only that in you which is me can hear what I'm saying."
Ram Dass

Terence McKenna: Culture is your Operating System

"A great many people think they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices."
William James

"There are no facts, only interpretations."
Friedrich Nietzsche

"Every man takes the limits of his own field of vision for the limits of the world."
Arthur Schopenhauer

Terence McKenna: On UFOs and Science

"'Seeing' is not a function of the eyes alone, but of the eyes-and-brain working together. A popular proverb says, 'Seeing is believing,' but as the philosopher Santayana once pointed out, humans are much better at believing than at seeing."
Robert Anton Wilson

"Reality leaves a lot to the imagination."
John Lennon"

"You cannot believe in honor until you have achieved it, better keep yourself clean and bright; you are the window through which you must see the world."
George Bernard Shaw

Adyashanti: What is Enlightenment

"...In the end spirituality is not about watching the breath.
It's about waking up from the dream of separateness to the truth of unity."
Adyashanti

"The proof that there was something wrong was that I wasn't spiritually awakened. If there was nothing wrong then I would be spiritually awakened... Little did I know that the whole sense that there was something wrong was being totally grasped by the clutches of ego, that was ego. There was somehow something deficient, that idea itself was ego and had led to innumerable egoic episodes. Egocentered narratives in the novel of my life. Even with the sense of neutrality there was this unconscious thread that there was something wrong...
And if there's a definition of ego, there's one definition of ego that has some real truth to it, it is: there's something wrong...
I'm not awake, I'm not spiritually enlightened, because there's something wrong. if there wasn't something wrong I would be enlightened you see. So this idea, this felt experience, actually is a big part of what ego is you see. Cause if there's nothing wrong, all the self-contradiction just falls away. Which is of course what it does when we awaken to our true nature. And we see from the eyes of spirit rather than from the eyes of mind. From the eyes of spirit there is nothing wrong. There is nothing wrong with you, with them. This was quite a surprise, there was actually nothing wrong."
Adyashanti (Falling Away)
