Roundup! Synchromystics and more.

The Stygian Port is spoiling me with synchromystic Battlestar Galactica content! Check out Battlestar Galactica - Eye of Jupiter and the comments! I wanna do another post on Battlestar myself, but I have to wait until at least after the next episode cause the last one kinda slapped me in the face hard with Balthar's speech!

Hidden Agendas has an amazing post up called Video Game Mind Entrainment: Cydonia Mars on 2 pc games. Entertainment sometimes seems to be more about entrainment, though it's fascinating that agendas, coincidence and synchronicity/seriality all could play a factor in it. Reality is too weird to be taken seriously!

Speaking of entrainment, I'm listening to George Michael's Freedom (by 'accident' :p) as I type this post, interesting lyric for a song called freedom: "All we have to do... now, is take these lies and make them true somehow." Just throwing it out there ;) Don't take it too seriously.

Aferrismoon takes on another show that had an amazing episode, in fact, it might have been Lost's first really good episode! Finally! Check out Stepping Stones, Ticking Timebombs, I'm Cracking UP. Just amazing Lost & Southland Tales synchs featuring a crazy ass quote by Aleister Crowley relating to the show. Benjamin Linus is a fascinating character to watch. To think that he started as only a temporary character.

I saw Ferris Bueller's Day Off yesterday, which featured the main character Ferris as a perfect example of 'magical thinking' - contrasted with the ridiculous whiny attitude of his sister and his buddy Cameron, who had a nice t-shirt with a Caduceus on it. The movie was way better than I remembered it. Just another slight sync as I asked what ferris meant on Aferrismoon cause he used it in the post, without realizing where I was, haha!

Thuther Thoughts linked the 'Scientology bible' in this post, from the great wikileaks.org. Haha, those 17 MB's of constructed BS used to be worth thousands of dollars. Download it while you can cause you know they're gonna throw money around until it's offline again. Upon first scanning I see a great amount of 'new' abbreviations & terms, repackaging old words & concepts along with throwing in some crazy is always helpful for a Belief System 'conversion', order out of chaos ring a bell? Explore everything, but these 612 pages I think I'll leave for some laughs when friends come over, priorities! ;p

Food price rises are "mass murder"-UN envoy: Ziegler blamed globalisation for "monopolising the riches of the earth" and said multinationals were responsible for a type of "structural violence".

Dosenation: Ignore Set & Setting and risk paralysis, Dutch bill to ban magic mushrooms - a 3 day wait, well I'll take the compromise over the ban... Stop freaking banning everything that's natural! the BBC article conviently forgets to mention you can realize interconnectedness and find divinity within :p. "Users of fresh mushrooms experience effects ranging from giggling fits and intensification of colours, lights and sounds to, more rarely, hallucinations. Negative effects can include vomiting, and anxiety. " BBC article

Disinfo.com: Seattle Man Denied Liver Transplant for Using Marijuana
"I'm not angry, I'm not mad, I'm just confused." Irony anyone? ;p couldn't resist! Still, that's f'd up.

You can access my dedroidify blog's RSS feed here, or at the bottom of any blog page [Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)]. And here is my Stumbleupon.com blog RSS feed.

THX 1138 trailer

THX 1138 trailer

Holy crap, I need to stop putting off watching classics. This movie is just excellent, I'll try to do a write-up of it soon. This was George Lucas his first (and best, it seems!) movie. Check out this post at Aferrismoon: 1138 and the Whirr of the Aeon.

Babylon A.D, Jericho, and the Last Zion

Babylon A.D, Jericho, and the Last Zion

Labyrinth of the Psychonaut's post with more info and links, collaboration with Jake Kotze and inspiration by Aferrismoon.

"So.. one can see how easily those who wield the symbolism behind the city can manifest their will ~ as it aides in the validation of the world's most popular Belief system and has been thrown into the political arena via subliminal thought forms in pop culture."

28 Years in the Synchrosphere of Reality

Happy Bday to me! 28 years young. I posted some varied vids today including my favorites Alan Watts, RAW and Terence. Any donations you could help me out with on this occasion are very much appreciated during these rocky Earth times.

Besides the vids, here are some pickings from the synchrosphere: Mercury's Garden has an excellent Wonder Woman 9/11 find. Aferrismoon tackles planes and lost. Alienpunk posts some Marley on Mind Control. Conspiracy Grimoire has an interesting teaser for an Oz-Scars octagon post and a great interview excerpts post of Alan Moore. The Blob always has fun posts and Secret Sun is still generally blazing! And if you haven't already check out Labyrinth of the Psychonaut's collaboration with Ezra from HOWMusic(k) & its side-blogs.

Fun with Language & Associations 2

First of this chaotic series is here
Now with extra etymology!

Alone: AllOne, Al1, Eye Al1 (I Alone), Home is where All is One. Home Al1!

Ark of the Covenant: a) was possibly just the box they kept the entheogens in, the myth was if you looked inside you would die - but it was probably the priesthood that would kill you ;p (thanks James Arthur). b) Other take on it of Nassim Haramein explained by Daniel Pinchbeck (thanks Hidden Dakini)

ASS: A Secret Society. Ety: Beast of Burden. Some stuff you don't have to make up, it's just too easy.

Authority: in dutch is "gezag", add an a and "gezaag" means "sawing" (wait for it) or the more used metaphorical meaning: "whining"!

Awesome: In west-flemish dialect: "Oasemn" (same phonetically) means "breathing", "to breathe". However awesome did not always mean something positive, quite the opposite.

Belief: in dutch "geloof", also means "faith". "Loof" without the "ge" means "praise"...
Ety: Holy shit are you ready for this: Belief used to mean "trust in God", then Belief had by 16c. become limited to "mental acceptance of something as true" (in other words BS in a lot of cases) from the religious use in the sense of "things held to be true as a matter of religious doctrine" (c.1225). So... basically it means dogma.

Catmagree: catma + agree, I catmagree: I seem to agree at this time with the current body of evidence but am open to new interpretation.

Citizens: C-it-iz-zen-S - See it is Zen Wisdom (thanks Imagical Greek) Ety: from City. Shame we don't use Denizen much anymore, I love the word denizen :p (ety: inside, within)

crISIS: Interesting ety. The cliché about the Chinese character also representing Opportunity is... wrong. And in fact it does not mean opportunity but "incipient moment" or "crucial point", just like "turning point" in the english etymology. Don't ever be sad about illusions dashing to pieces, instead be glad about the turning point and the acquiring of more truth ;p.

Dungeon: in dutch "kerker", -er: kerk=church (and 'er' is just a suffix)
(Kerker is from the latin Carcer, from which incarceration comes as well.)

Eternity: etern E.T. ether E.T., return E.T. ? :p Ety: Great Age.

Etymology: True Sense ;p

Freedom: We are all born free! When turned into dutch: "vree dom" sounds like "wreed dom" which means "pretty dumb" (freedumb) and "wreed" literally means "cruel", I guess we can apply that to western politicians perversion of the word. Freedom is one of my highest ideals, though the true freedom, not what silly brainwashed citizens think it is.

Hallucination: Hal/All Lucid Nation ;p - Ety: "wander (in the mind), dream" (though also "deceive", tis possible!)

Hope: Dope (Opiate for the masses? ;p), Nope, Rope :p LOL. Ety: "wish, expect, look forward (to something)", Hmm, wishful thinking eh? ;p. Some suggest a connection with hop (v.) on the notion of "leaping in expectation." Don't get me wrong though I much prefer hope-based over fear-based poly-tics.

Import-ant: What do you choose to import into your mind?, Ety: Bring in.

Island: Is land, Eye land. Ety: Thing on the water, lol.

Life: In flemish/dutch is "Leven" (also "To Live"), there is no singular of "Leven", the closest in flemish/dutch could be "Lef" = "Guts, Nerve, Daring". Ety: Continuance! Something quite different than the recent mechanical materialist view isn't it.

Lord: anagram for the dutch "Drol" which means Shit or turd. Screwed up ety too.

Mansion: Man Sion/Zion, Man's Ion (thanks Imagical Greek)

Missing: I once made the typo misisng - isis is missing, see aferrismoon for more info.

Mission: Missing Sion/Zion/Sun hehe. Etymology: originally of Jesuits sending members abroad, from L. missionem (nom. missio) "act of sending," from mittere "to send," oldest form probably *smittere, of unknown origin.

Missionary: 1656, from mission (q.v.). Missionary position first attested 1969; allegedly so called because Christian missionaries forced it on "primitive" people to replace their more creative variations. When are they gonna make a movie out of that one? :p

Monastery: Moon-a-stare-y (thanks Hendrik Palmgren from Red Ice)

Neo-Con: Neo=One ;p. Con-vict. Con-artist...

Ouroboros pun: "That was a long time ago" in flemish/dutch "Da's lang geleden", slang=snake.

Partizan: backwards is 'nazitrap' :p there is a movie company called partizan films (thanks Steve Willner of Labyrinth of the Psychonaut)

Soldier: soul-die-er, sol (sun) dier (thanks Imagical Greek). Ety is all about the money... Just as today really.

Science: seance (thanks Michael Skaggs of Hidden Agendas). (see first post on Language & Association for more, I have the highest respect for the Scientific Method, but not for Mainstream Science.)

Surface: How much of an Ace are you at Surfing this planet?

Understand: Under-stand, in dutch "verstaan", "ver" = far. So in both languages not the greatest connotations. Ety: Grasp the idea of. Synonym in dutch: Be-grijp, grijp = grasp.

Victim: in flemish/dutch, "slachtoffer", literal translation: "sacrificial offering". No, really. Ety: 1497, "living creature killed and offered as a sacrifice to a deity or supernatural power," from L. victima "person or animal killed as a sacrifice." Perhaps distantly connected to O.E. wig "idol," Goth. weihs "holy," Ger. weihen "consecrate" (cf. Weihnachten "Christmas") on notion of "a consecrated animal." Sense of "person who is hurt, tortured, or killed by another" is first recorded 1660; meaning "person oppressed by some power or situation" is from 1718. Weaker sense of "person taken advantage of" is recorded from 1781. Victimize is from 1830. (thanks Alex of Too Long in this Place)

War: In dutch/flemish: "In de war= confused". Ety: To confuse ;p
Are you keeping your mind on War? Eg:
Global Warming & The Climate Wars BBC docus. War on Terror: War oF Terror, or "War on Terra, Earth" (thanks Michael Tsarion) - Wars/Mars: Flip the first letter, Mars is the War(s) planet (thanks Jake Kotze of The Blob).
Video games: If we consider the theory that focus on x creates more of x, and we consider the intense nature of War video gaming, well...
World of Warcraft - Halo(=Stargate) Wars - Sun Crusher: The Great War - Twilight War: After the Fall -Act of War: Direct Action - God of War 1, 2 - Gears of War 1, 2 - Universe at War - War World - the FPS flood of many WW2 installments of series: Call of Duty (latest: World at War) / Brothers in Arms / Medal of Honor / Battlefield - War of the Ring - World in Conflict - Rome: Total War - Command and Conquer - Frontlines fuel of war - Universe at War: Earth Assault - Warhammer - Guild of War 1, 2 - crapload of Star Wars games - Theatre of War...

888

Triple Eight is 24, *tut... tut... tut... * (from the show you know :p)
8 is the number of Chaos, the eight pointed star of the Discordian Chaos Magicians - I wonder if anything chaotic will happen at the Olympics?
8 is the number of Control - think handcuffs, could that chaotic thingy be used to impose more control on us?
Yeah I was confused about 8 resonating chaos and order both too, so this made sense: 8 is the number of the balance and of the cosmic order, according to the Egyptians. Teehee.
In Babylon, in Egypt and in Arabia, it was the number of the duplication devoted to the sun, from where the solar disc is decorated of a cross with eight arms.
8 symbolizes infinity when on its side, like after lunch in the couch.
8 is the number of Luck - Especially in China (because it sounds like the word "prosper" or "wealth"). Also in China, '8' is used in chat speak as a term for parting. This is due to the closeness in pronunciation of '8' (bā) and the English word 'bye'. (888 = N Sync's bye bye bye? :p)
8 is the number of perfection, symbol of Cosmic Christ and in China expresses the totality of the universe.
8 is a Fibonacci nr, being 3+5, the next nr in the series is 13 (5+8)
8th astrological sign of the Zodiac is Scorpio
8 Circuits of Consciousness model, the heuristic theory of conscious evolution by Timothy Leary and popularised by Robert Anton Wilson and Antero Alli.
Life Path 8 is the Path of the Warrior.
According to Michael from Hidden Agendas, 8 symbolizes material satisfaction.
In many countries, an Octagonal STOP sign is used. Even the hippies use it.
"The 'Freedom' tower" will be an Octagonal design.
added, thanks to Aferrismoon for posting this in the comments: "888 x 2 = 1776 (founding year of Bavarian Illuminati. 1776, or MDCCLXXVI, is the number shown at the bottom of the pyramid on the American dollar bill, and on the tablet held by the Statue of Liberty), obviously a good-opener. This'll be the height of the Freedom Tower in feet, which = 541. something metres, which by Gematria = YShRAL [ Israel]"
The Pythagoreans have made the number 8 the symbol of the love and the friendship, the prudence and the thinking and they have called it the Great "Tetrachtys".
In Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, dialing an 8-chevron address will open a wormhole to another galaxy. In Battlestar Galactica, the nr 8 model is played by Grace Parks. The character Sharon Valeri clones with the nicknames Boomer and Athena.
In Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, eight is a holy number and is considered taboo. Eight is not safe to be said by wizards on the Discworld and is the number of Bel-Shamharoth. Also, there are eight days in a Disc week and eight colours in a Disc spectrum, the eighth one being Octarine.
In Colombia and Venezuela, "volverse un ocho" (meaning to tie oneself in a figure 8) refers to getting in trouble or contradicting one's self.
8 is ACHT in Dutch and German, ACHTUNG means WARNING or PAY ATTENTION in German
8 is HUIT in French, Huit sounds like Oui, Yes! Also sounds a bit like WITH, WIT in English. Wit translates to 'white' in Dutch.
8 is Hachi in Japanese, bless you.
w8 is wait, in dutch too: w8 is w+acht = wacht which means wait. Other words like that (which don't work in dutch) are h8, gr8, appreci8, congratul8ions, sk8
888 is also the Lions Gate. A supposed DNA Activation meditation Gateway, I don't know enough about this stuff yet to judge or talk about it really, it's on the list to investigate. Here's a site about it, apparently it has something to do with the rising of Sirius.
I 888 (ate, ate, ate) cause I was hungry.
88 is the abbreviated terminology used by the Aryan Brotherhood for the Nazi salute, "Heil Hitler" — "H" being the eighth letter of the alphabet, twice.
Eight is symbolic for lesbian sexual relations. YEAH!
Check out a li'l more at Pseudoccult about it, with a hilarious realisation that the Olympic logo looks like a dead dude in his own pool of blood, ouch.

You can see I don't take symbolism too seriously as you can interpret in so many ways, but it's so fascinating. I'm sure I forgot loads of interesting stuff, please share anything interesting in the comments.

added: got sent this via myspace, thanks Thom
From a book on numbers:
8 is 2x2x2, and as such is the first cubic number after 1. As the vertices of a cube or faces of its dual, the octahedron, eight is complete. At the molecular level this is displayed by atoms, which long to have a full octave of eight electrons in their outermost shell. A sulfer atom has six electrons in its outermost shell, so eight atoms get together to share electrons, forming an octagonal sulfer ring.
Within architecture the octagon often signifies the transition between heaven and earth, as a bridge between the square and the circle. A spherical dome often surmounts a cubic structure by way of a beautiful octagonal vault.

Eight is particularly revered in the religion and mythology of the orient. The ancient Chinese oracle, the I-Ching, is based on combinations of eight trigrams, each the result of a twofold choice made three times. Depicted opposite is the "Former heaven Sequence", said to represent the ideal pattern of trans-formations in the cosmos. Note how each trigram is the complement of it's opposite.
In religious symbolism, the eight step is often associated with spiritual evolution or salvation. This may result from the fact that in a seven-tone scale the eighth note is the octave, twice the pitch of the first note, and so signals the movement to a new level.
In the modern world, computers think in delightful units called "bytes," each made of eight binary "bits."
All spiders have eight legs and all octopi have eight tentacles.

Also:
eight taoist immortals.
eight limbs of yoga
eightfold path of buddhism

Update: Opening Ceremony Remarks
I didn't see the very beginning and tuned out a lot. 100 million US$ spent on the opening and closing ceremonies by Beijing officials, holy crap.

The first thing I see is soldiers freaking goose stepping lol. But then they showed paper making and calligraphy. A huge scroll folds open in the arena, I've been meaning to post on the view of multiple reality tunnels that life seems to be a meta-narrative, so I'll get back to that. As the scroll opens, life begins (Beijings? ;p). Ice Sk8ers skate and write on the paper, we write the story. In the backdrop of the filming of the scroll, we see a yellow triangle thingy with an eye in it, naturally. Then we see mountains scribbled, with a top one looking like another pyramid with an eye, in case you missed the first one :p and the sun at the right side of it above the mountains. Then the 3000 disciples of Confucius come out.
After not paying attention for 20 minutes, I mean damn these things are boring :p, white chinese runners converge in a spiral (stargate) and form a bird with a hole in its center where video is played in a series of frames. Then suddenly I hear the commentator say "the galactic center gets poured over the earth" as we see glitter thingies going down, based on the work of a Chinese artist. And the last notable thing I saw was A tai chi performance by 2008 people. I'm sure others will note some more peculiarities. Like Secret Sun's post: 17 Days in Beijing and check out another Olympic post here from Ellis Taylor.

added: how many times have you heard "one world, one dream" today? :p In the news here they mentioned it before going to the Russia-Georgia-Ossetia conflict. Interesting flag Georgia has, Russia is interfering to stop the Templar rush. In some hopeful news the three professions the Belgians trust the least of all are: politicians (only 1 in 5 trust 'em, talk about approval rating), CEO's and journalists lol! All is right with the world. Some other interesting headlines...
US government points to dead scientist as 'lone anthrax attacker' (lol, no shit!)
Nader chosen as the presidential nominee of the Peace and Freedom Party
Pakistan civilian government unites in a coalition to impeach President Pervez Musharraf
Maine resident arrested in Florida for death threats to Bush, Obama
