I'm very sorry to announce another hiatus until at least tuesday. Better get used to this btw, I don't know how the blogposting here will evolve but I have nowhere near the available online time as I used to. You can always check my 'thumbed up' stumbles here if you're starving for some good webpages. (btw put this post up first cause I like it better as a first post for a few days than a plain text post.)

Ireland rejects EU reform treaty

BBC article here: On Belgian TV two former political journalists turned politicians (lol, hello?!) laughed at how they'd even use a referendum for this as it'll never get passed like that. Not a single country's population has approved the European constitution as every vote turned out a NO, but something in my gut tells me the politicians won't be too bothered with that and just go through with it regardless because more than half of the 27 member countries have already approved it without giving a damn about their citizens. I wonder about the excuse or reasons they'll come up with, I can't get my hopes up too high cause they don't use too much effort anymore to disguise the fascism, people will swallow anything they get thrown at them anyway apparently, I mean look at that Irish percentage, shit that's worrysome. Apparently even the current economic situation isn't even a reason to distrust European politics. Btw rather peculiar that a European constitution is being pushed while the American one is being destroyed :p Also check Atlantean Times' great post Ireland votes NO to European Bullshit.
In more fascist news, insurance companies in Belgium will be using a new system to calculate how much they will steal from their customers by using a BLACK BOX in the car that will keep records of ALL movements. Yeah try putting that in my car, see how that goes. The shamelesness...

Orange fever

Check out the HUGE inverted pentagon on the Dutch jerseys who have beaten Italy and France, two other main contenders for the championship, hard. This pic doesn't do it justice but it's the best I could find (google images SUCKS :p), on TV the thing looks huge. Before Euro 2008 the jerseys featured a more arched pentagon or no symbol at all. The supporters club also sports an upright pentagon. I wonder if the orange synchromystic flow in the ether I'm sure some of you have been following, along with powerful symbolism hasn't already ensured their finals victory.

From the Tedtalks site: Entrepreneurial mycologist Paul Stamets seeks to rescue the study of mushrooms from forest gourmets and psychedelic warlords (warlords? :p). The focus of Stamets' research is the Northwest's native fungal genome, mycelium, but along the way he has filed 22 patents for mushroom-related technologies, including pesticidal fungi that trick insects into eating them, and mushrooms that can break down the neurotoxins used in nerve gas.

There are cosmic implications as well. Stamets believes we could terraform other worlds in our galaxy by sowing a mix of fungal spores and other seeds to create an ecological footprint on a new planet.

Religious is is a documentary directed by Larry Charles (of Borat fame) and stars American comedian Bill Maher, host of Real Time With Bill Maher on HBO. According to Maher, the title of the film is a portmanteau derived from the words "religion" and "ridiculous", implying the satirical nature of the documentary that is meant to mock the concept of religion and the problems it brings about.

Known for his stance against religion, Bill Maher's views on the various world religions are explored as he travels to numerous religious destinations, such as Jerusalem and the Vatican, interviewing believers from a variety of backgrounds and groups, including Jews for Jesus, Muslims, polygamists, Satanists, Hasidic scholars and even Rael of the Raelian Movement. In the trailer and documentary Maher also interviews research neuroscientist Andrew Newberg, MD, (author of Why We Believe What We Believe) who brain-scans people at the University of Pennyslvania as they pray, meditate and speak in tongues. The documentary was produced by Thousand Words and is being distributed by Lionsgate. Originally slated for intentional release date coinciding with the religious Easter holiday 2008, post-production delays resulting from a screenwriters guild strike pushed the release date back to July 11, 2008. Release has now been pushed back to October 3, 2008.

Though it will probably be funny, it's easy money for Bill Maher, who refuses to take on real controversy, or he'd lose his job again. lol.

How the government used another coverup after the murder they committed, after MLK's Poor People Campaign for economic justice went too far for the authorities. In 2000, King was voted 6th in the Person of the Century poll by Time, when he was alive though, Time was demonizing him along with every other mainstream media outlet, though hey, how many brainwashed Americans remember that shit? King was also elected the third Greatest American of all time by the American public in a contest conducted by the Discovery Channel & AOL, yet during his life he was the enemy of all government, media and whites in general. Fucking hilarious. How is it that the USA doesn't spontaneously implode by its own hypocrisy?
