Barroso and Sarkozy plead for permanent EU presidency

"The EU's Lisbon treaty - rejected by Ireland (AND EVERYBODY ELSE) in June but already ratified by 22 EU states (NEVERMIND THE PEOPLE HAD NOTHING TO SAY ABOUT THAT) - puts forward a permanent head of the council as one of its key reforms."

Can't these pretend-politicians play their games behind bars? Just an idea.
