Pope calls for New Age

Secret Sun has the scoop. I wonder what's up their sleeve.
Short quote: "In so many of our societies, side by side with material prosperity, a spiritual desert is spreading: an interior emptiness, an unnamed fear, a quiet sense of despair," the pontiff said.

The aim was "a new age in which hope liberates us from the shallowness, apathy and self-absorption which deadens our souls and poisons our relationships," he said. - IHT
No word yet if the Vatican is taking responsibility for any of these things :p. It was them after all that sucked the spirituality out of a huge part of the world wasn't it? Replacing direct experience with a belief system (bs), intermediary pastors and churches, letting an 'infallible' dude speak for God, and the lovely Inquisition. Eww!

Whats up their sleeves indeed! We (well those of us that can see it) know exactly what he means when he says "New Age" (literally and symbolically). So, is this a push to sell us "more answers" to the unanswered questions? Maybe. Is it a push to make the religion "more accepting and bend more beliefs" (i.e. the accepting aliens push earlier this year lest we forget) within? Perhaps. I admit, he is speaking somewhat truthfully when he states the shallowness of society, but then again, this religion had done no-thing to help with that--plus sucking the energy out of everyone doesn't help either.

It's just another "pressure valve" release due to the build up of the stress amongst the masses. Will offer little, just somewhere to vent.

Peace bro!
